KaiserCraft Pen & Ink Card Set Tutorial

September has always been a month packed full of special birthdays, and the KaiserCraft Pen & Ink Scrapbooking Bundle from FotoBella.com is perfect for all of those vintage loving Virgos! Drea with the Design Team, and I made a set of cards for more than just birthdays, as this collection has so many different sentiments to choose from, and lots of them. Follow along, and I'll show you how I used the Kaisermist (Coffee) Spray, which I absolutely LOVE and highly recommend, three different ways.

        Supplies:                                                                                                  Tools:

*KaiserCraft Pen & Ink Bundle                                                 *Blending Tool
*KaiserCraft Pen & Ink 6.5" Paper Pad                                     *Border Punches
*Kaisermist Spray (Coffee)
*KaiserCraft Pearls (Pearl)
*KaiserCraft Mini Ink Pad (Black)
*Distress Ink Pad (Frayed Burlap)
*Distress Ink Pad (Pumice Stone)
*Prima Marketing Metallique Waxes (Optional)
*Scor-Tape 1/8"
*Neutral colored card bases (blacks, tans or creams)
*White lace 4" wide

1. Cut and fold card bases from neutral colored cardstocks (blacks, tans, creams, etc.) to measure slightly smaller than 6", so it can fit into a 6" X 6" envelope. Use fingers to apply Prima Metallique Waxes to the edges of the cards, or you could use ink, or just leave them alone. To the top row, I used Vintage Gold and Brushed Iron, and below it, Old Silver and Bronze Age.

2. Cut four papers from the Pen & Ink 6.5" Paper Pad to measure 6.25". Then punch around the edges with two different border punches.

3. Adhere punched papers to the card bases.

4. For the first technique using the Kaisermist Spray (Coffee), try spraying a piece of white lace or ribbon to instantly age it, like I did to the 4" wide strips of lace that I added next.

5. Don't waste any leftover spray! Dip the bottom of your bottle into it, and use it as a stamp to create rings on your cards.

6. Punch strips of scallops from the Pen & Ink 6.5" Paper Pad, and ink around the edges. On the top left card, I used my Blending Tool with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone), and used Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap) on the bottom right one. Then I used the KaiserCraft Mini Ink Pad (Black) for the rest.

7. After inking around the edges if you choose to, attach die cuts from the bundle and the 6.5" Paper Pad with the Scor-Tape 1/8", which will strongly adhere to the lace.

8. For the third way using the Kaisermist Spray (Coffee), try spraying the wooden embellishments that come in the bundle, to get various shades of browns and greys.

9. To enhance it bit more, rub lightly with Prima Marketing Metallique Waxes. On the keyhole I used Old Silver.

10. Finally, add some of the KaiserCraft Pearls (Pearl) to the die cuts and wooden embellishments.

   Thanks for looking!
