Stamperia Fun with Rice Paper and Mica Powders

Hello everyone.  It is Olivia here and today I am bring you a quick tutorial on how to create some items with Rice Paper. Fotobella offers some gorgeous selections from Stamperia and I am featuring three different projects that contain Rice Paper.  The first is a decorated box, then a tag and finally a card.

I bought a box from the craft store and but a layer of gesso on the top. Then I used Prima Mica Powders , Green, Sunny Yellow and Summer Sky.  I then spritzed it with water and let it dry.

I then added a thin layer of modpodge and added the Rice Paper, called Wonderland Fantasy Decoration.  One of the many thing I loved about this sheet was that it had multiple images on the rice paper.  I used the stencil with some Bo Bunny Glitter Paste to add some texture.  The final touch was the metal butterfly and dragonfly that I used purple wax on it to change the color.

For the next project, I used a die and cut out a tag. Then it was sponged with Distress Inks to created the background.  I cut out the fairy and one of the butterflies from the Wonderland Fantasy Decoration sheet and glued it onto the tag.

For the card, I used the Rice Paper, Hortensia and Dragonfly. I trimmed the paper down to 4 x 5/14 and glued it via ModPodge onto a cardbase. I also cut out the dragonfly and added it onto the flowered image.

Crafty Box of Smiles with Bo Bunny Harmony Collection

Hi all, it's Annie and today I'm back with a fun gift idea for a crafty friend using the gorgeous Bo Bunny Harmony Collection.  This little box of smiles is filled with handmade cards and tags that can be customized even a bit more by the recipient for quick and easy gifts.

First I added a couple of cards to the box with generic themes and sentiments that can be embellished a bit to fit multiple occasions.  I started by adding mat layers of brown cardstock to some of the 4" x 6" notecards in the collection and adhering it to a white card base.  Then I arranged some of the chipboard stickers, layered chipboard, and thickers included in the collection on top to embellish.

Next, I created a handful of "lunch box notes" using the 3" x 4" notecards matted with some of the patterned paper in the collection.  While leaving these mostly blank as well, I did add a few chipboard pieces and stickers to each for fun dimension and color.

Lastly, I matted a bunch of the beautiful tags from the sticker sheet in the collection with brown cardstock and added a short length of pink baker's twine to create some easy gift tags.

The box was constructed by hand from brown cardstock using a score board.  Each side of the lid was covered in gorgeous patterned paper from the collection while the top was embellished with a large floral frame from the Noteworthy pack and chipboard stickers.

In addition to the cards and tags, I placed a few coordinating paper flowers and ribbons in the box before closing it up.  I hope this box of handmade crafty goodies makes you and my friend smile!

Bo Bunny (Sweet Clementine) Buttons

Hello! I hope you're enjoying your Summer so far! Drea here with a set of buttons featuring the Bo Bunny (Sweet Clementine) I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com. I just LOVE buttons, and thought this would be a fun addition to a layout, as lids for jars, boxes, or tins, or even made into a set of cards!

*****************************************

Featuring:

        Additional Supplies:

Bo Bunny Small Doilies
- Scissors for fussy-cutting
- Glue
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Hole Punch
- Thin ribbons
- Cotton Swab
- Needle and embroidery threads (Optional)

1. Cut circles from the paper pack at 4 1/2", and cover the edges with Black Gesso using a palette knife. Set aside to dry.

2. Grab four white doilies, and cut inner circles out from two of them.

3. Cut circles from paper pack at 2 1/2". I just used the same patterns as the larger circles, with some of the backs. But I did fussy-cut the scallop on the top right, but would rather have used a circle instead, as most of it got covered anyways. Adhere the framed doilies to two of the circles, and after covering the other circle edges with Black Gesso, adhere on top of the whole doilies.

4. Punch four holes onto each inner circle to measure about 1 1/4" apart. Just punch one circle, and use it as a guide for the others. Then use a cotton swab to apply Black Gesso to the holes.

5. Attach thin ribbons through the holes to create a "stitch", and glue to the backs.

6. Attach the largest circle brads to the centers.

7. At this point, I decided to add some hand-stitched twine to the framed doilies, but it's optional.

8. Glue doilies to the larger circles from the first step.

9. Fussy-cut florals and butterflies from the fronts of the "bouquet" and "memories" papers. Curl up some of the edges, and adhere to the buttons along the bottom and sides.

10. Adhere small floral chipboard piece to the bottom left sides.

11. Curl butterfly wings up from the Noteworthy pack, and cover it with two coats of embossing powder to match the shine from the brads. Finally, adhere to the tops, and your buttons are ready to use!

The orange one is my favorite!

     Here's the scallop one.

The butterfly on the red one was colored in the middle with Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry), before adding the embossing powder.

Close-up of the last one, which is my second favorite!

There's so many possibilities with these buttons! I hope you'll give them a try using the Bo Bunny (Sweet Clementine) I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com!

Bo Bunny Bee-utiful Paper Bag Album

Hello everyone.  Olivia here with my newest project for Fotobella using Bo Bunny Bee-utiful You I want it All Bundle Set.   I am showing a super quick but gorgeous Mini Paper Bag Album.  I love how quickly paper bag albums comes today. Through-out the album I used various pieces of Ephemera and Chipboard Stickers to add texture.

The Cover the Album and the back are made with ChipBoard. With a combination of patterned pieces from the set and the chipboard embellishment, I created the front of the album.
The internal part of the project consists of two paper bags glued together with a hinge piece so it will actually leave you with 8 pages in your album.

This is the first interior page.  You can either glue down the bag flap or leave it as a way to add more pictures.

This is another internal page.  I wanted to leave more space for photos or Journaling.

The final internal pages are these sets and for this one I glued down the bottom flap on the sides to create an additional internal pocket.

For final Back page, I also replicated the same thing as well.

and here is the back side of the album.

I hope you guys enjoyed this project and find ways to be create with everyday household items.

Bo Bunny Harmony Layered Cards

Hi all, it's Annie and today I'm back with two card ideas using the Bo Bunny Harmony Collection.  Whether you like clean and simple cards or lots of layers, this collection has tons of beautiful patterns, die-cut pieces, and embellishments for endless options.

The first card uses several of the patterned papers in the collection, matted with brown cardstock and arranged in layers, to draw attention to the beautiful bird notecard and tag.  I thought the "home sweet home" sentiment on the tag made this a great card to congratulate someone on their new home.

To embellish the card, I attached a loopy twine bow to one of the patterned paper panels with a brad from the collection, used a sparkly brad to do the same with the tag, and added a few paper flowers from my stash in coordinating colors.

This next card follows many of the same principles, using a couple of patterned paper layers matted in navy blue to draw focus to the beautiful bird notecard and chipboard sentiments.  Love cards are a favorite of mine because you can use them for so many different types of occasions.

A green loopy bow is attached to the notecard with another large brad from the collection, and gorgeous paper flower ephemera was used to embellish the corners of the focal image.

I hope you enjoyed these layered card projects and thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to visit the FotoBella store to pick up this gorgeous collection today!

Bo Bunny (Sweet Clementine) Beautiful Bloom Layout

Hello! Drea here, to introduce you to the fabulous Bo Bunny (Sweet Clementine) I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com, if you haven't seen it already! I created a layout of this beautiful bloom that was grown with love, by my dear friend and former FotoBella Design Team member, ReNae. As soon as I saw this photo she posted to Facebook, I knew her stargazer lily had to be featured, and the colors were spot on with this collection, that can be used for Spring, Summer, and even Valentine's Day.

My design inspiration came from the birdcage in the corner, which led to the striped paper framing the photo. Then I cut strips from the (Sublime) paper, and inked the edges with Distress Ink (Black Soot). Before adhering them to my page to create more stripes, I embossed the lace with the Kaisercraft Lace Stamp.

The butterflies, yellow birdcage, heart, and titlework all have a beautiful shimmer from the specialty foil in the Chipboard Stickers.

The doily heart was fussy-cut to create a frame for the Chipboard heart.

Then I used the banner from the Noteworthy pack to stamp and emboss "Stargazer", and the Thickers' to spell LILY, which also has a stripe of the specialty foil on them.

A fun way to play with color, patterns, and stripes using the Bo Bunny (Sweet Clementine) I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella.com! Thanks for looking!
