A Mini Album made from Toilet Paper Rolls? Yes!

Have you ever made a toilet paper mini album? As a paper crafter navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself constantly looking for ways to repurpose and upcycle materials for new projects. Realizing that toilet paper rolls were something that everyone who ever hoarded TP has access to, and that they were made of paper, an idea popped into my head! I’ll create a toilet paper mini album! In my craft room were the remnants of a paper collection from Ciao Bella called “The Muse“. I had used this beautiful paper on two other projects this month and had enough paper left for one more!

This beautiful toilet mini album is easy to make

What You’ll Need

Making a toilet paper mini album is easy and fun! If you have four or more toilet paper rolls, an empty cereal box, some beautiful Ciao Bella patterned paper, scissors and some glue you can make it! There are numerous tutorials on YouTube that demonstrate how to make a toilet paper mini album so I won’t reinvent the wheel. But if you look at the photos in this blog post you will see how I created mine, by using recycled material and my leftover Ciao BellaThe Muse’ paper, thus finding a fun way to re-purpose and upcycle materials that would otherwise be thrown away!

Making your Mini Album

Start, by selecting your toilet paper rolls. Usually you need at least four and you can use up to eight or 10 in a mini album like this. Flatten each roll with your bone folder and then run your toilet paper roll back-and-forth through your die cutting machine. This makes them significantly flatter and they will look better in your album. Trim the rolls with your paper cutter to make sure they’re all uniform in length. Next, create the cover. A cereal box works great, but you can use any medium weight chipboard. Sizes of toilet paper rolls will vary so keep that in mind as you create your cover.

Embellish your Mini Album

Once you create your hinge and attach the paper-wrapped toilet paper rolls, you can begin to decorate your mini album! The Ciao Bella patterned paper works beautifully! Here are some photos of how I decorated my mini album.

The Icing on the Cake

Lastly you’ll want to create the tags. The Ciao Bella patterned paper “The Muse“ collection has the most beautiful floral images and you can create some gorgeous tags. Here are some that I created to slip inside the pockets of the toilet paper rolls.

I hope you were inspired today to make your own toilet paper mini album! If you use the Ciao Bella The Muse” paper collection, you can be sure it will be beautiful! Have fun and happy creating!

Memory Dex Cards created with Prima Marketing My Sweet Collection

Design team member Jeanne here with you today to share with you a couple of Memory Dex cards also called Rolodex Cards that I created using one of the newest collections from Prima Marketing designer/artist Frank Garcia called “My Sweet”!

The Beginning of the Memory Dex Spinner

I had recently had purchased the Heidi Swapp Memory Dex Spinner in pink of course. I also bought the Heidi Swapp punch. Previously, I had been creating these cards before without the punch using a tutorial on YouTube. So if you don’t have a punch of die, you can try this tutorial like I did and it works just as good.

Lets begin by cutting some white scrap card stock to 3.5 high X 4 wide, I chose and cut the paper I picked from the 12x12 paper pad I was sent from Fotobella. I cut the paper the same size. I did use the punch on the card stock first then on the pattern paper because I learned the hard way when I adhered the front and back pieces to the card stock, it was too thick to use the punch. So I went ahead and punched each sheet individually.

I started by adding some pieces of lace trim on the card then picked out some of the ephemera from the same collection. Then I added the flowers from the Sewn With Love package as well and some of the Say It In Crystals as well. Lastly I added a variety of size and color of sequins placed in a few areas on the memory dex card.

In Closing

I absolutely enjoy creating these cards using the wonderful products that I was sent to create with this month. Run over to and check out this and other amazing collections they are currently carrying. I will be back later this month to share other creations that I will be making with this collection so stay tuned. Until then enjoy and get inspired by the rest of the Fotobella designers when they share their creations here. So pop in and check it out! See ya soon!

Stamperia Sweety Treat Bag

This was a really quick and easy project and I think it would brighten someone’s day. The base of the basket and the decorative handle was cut from 65 lb Shimmer Pink cardstock from Recollections. A Michael’s craft store brand. The basket itself is a Spellbinder’s die called, “Garden Party”-# S6-030. All you do is cut 4 of the main basket die, glue the sides together with the tabs then add the bottom square. Fussy cut your little embellishments from the 8x8 “Sweety” Stamperia paper pad or choose a die from your stash. It should be one that will fit on the side panel of the basket. Glue the handle to the inside sides of the basket then add some colorful shred and some candies and it’s ready to give.
