Fun and Fast Print & Cut Photo Magnets Tutorial!

Hi Crafters!

I'm excited to show you a new tutorial using WeR Memory Keepers 'Crazy for You' bundle!

I created these sweet magnets from the 'Badges' that come in the Crazy for You bundle and created the photo magnets with my Silhouette cutting machine, photo paper and bubble caps.

I can put them on my craft carousal and my fridge, too.  I really love the way they turned out!

Let's get started!

To begin, I opened my Silhouette Studio Software and clicked File then Merge.

Then, I located my file with my photos I want to use for my magnets.

And I changed my mat to 8.5” x 11” [this is the size of my photo paper].

Click and 'show registration marks' and click on the printer icon to print this page out on my photo paper.

Click on the 'home' icon and then click on Trace.

  Click on Trace outer edge

Now you will see the cut lines around each photo.

Click send to Silhouette

Load and click on Cut

Adhere papers and photos on the back of bubble caps. Then, adhere magnet with hot glue and your done!

Now-scoot on over to FotoBella's Shop and grab some

Thank you for stoppin' by and make sure to come on back for some more inspiration and fun tutorials!

    Hugs and Blessings,

Design team Post, Basic Grey Soleil

I am so excited to share these two pages with you today made with Basic Grey "I Want It All", Soleil. This kit is full of pretty papers and embellishments! I love how with one kit I could create two very different pages. One is very bold and bright and the other is soft and subtle.

This first page is what I saw first when I saw all the pretty funky fun papers.... bold and bright!

I used many of the elements in the kit, using clusters with layers and stitching.

Besides the misting and stitching, the only thing  not found in the kit is this date stamp. I used one from my stash of supplies to add a fun little messy touch on the arrow sticker.

I used the stripes to add my journaling. Using lined paper to journaling on not only keeps your writing neat, but adds to the design perfectly, without taking away from it.

The flower sack in this kit made it fun and easy to make my own embellishment for the page, when paired with the fun brads.

Next, I will share a more subtle side of Soleil. This page is soft and pretty like this girl.

I used a large hand cut pennant to begin my design on this page, using for a base for the whole layout design. I decided to use the envelope as the title inspiration and used it to hold a mini note to my girl.

I used many pop dots on this page to add dimension, including on this die cut.

I layered stickers and chipboard for the title and stitched them down. I added one of the sweet bards on my envelope to give it a sweet girly feel. I also clustered some flowers and a sentiment brad in the corner.

I used the pretty stitched garland to dress up the page a bit more, and added my daughter's initials.

Westcott 6 Set Cutting System

Hello

I have a video demonstration for the Westcott 6 Set Cutting System.
I have fallen in love with all of these tools. OUT with the OLD and IN with the New.
The paper cutter also has a scoring blade on it as well, nice bonus.
I show you the six pieces that come in the set and how they work.
Also at the end of the video I have done a fussy cut tutorial with scissors and an exacto blade.
ENJOY-!
Thanks FotoBella.com for having the best tools around.
Warmly-
Sarinda

Neon Pink Wood Heart Decor

Make this cute, custom Valentine's Day decoration in a day!

Grab a piece of scrap wood, trace a heart and cut!
(or you can buy one if you don't have a saw!)

Use a spray primer.

Once the primer is dry, spray the heart with color. I used Krylon Fluorescent Pink for mine, but you can use any color you love to decorate with!

Next, use Elmer spray adhesive to stick your choice of see-through detail. I am using a clear plastic sheet. But get creative and use lace fabric, punched paper, or anything you choose! You could also use your favorite stamp from FotoBella and make your own custom print!

Finally, use an exacto knife to cut around the heart.
And you now have created an adorable, custom decoration that will get alot of attention!

No Ordinary Calendar with My Mind's Eye Sweetest Thing Collection

Do you have any old (or in my case new and never been used) picture frames floating around?  I've had this picture frame sitting around my house, in closets, in the attic, survived two garage sales, etc., etc. etc.  I just couldn't figure out what to do with the thing!  And then VIOLA!  I had this great idea to upcycle it and make it into a calendar!

I started with my picture frame that is 16x20.  I painted the glass with several coats of Martha Stewart's Chalkboard paint.  Once the paint dried and I decided what size to make the actual calendar portion, I used a good 'ol Sharpie to draw the grid.  I wanted the squares to be a fair size, so I made them 2"x2", making the total dimensions of the grid 14"x10" (LxH).

Once the grid was drawn on, the fun began!  Embellishing the frame with the My Minds's Eye-The Sweetest Thing, Tangerine "I Want It All" Bundle from Fotobella.com.  Let me tell you....I used EVERY embellishment in the bundle!  The sky was the limit in this project!!  And I hope you agree, it was well worth it!  I am totally IN LOVE with this calendar!

And what I really love???  That I found these fabulous Chalk markers to write on the calendar with.  It cleans with a damp cloth and they write beautifully!  No yucky, dusty, chalky mess.

Here's some closeup shots of all the fun details on this calendar:

And one more finale shot!

Now, hurry! Go! Scour the house for a picture frame and make your own!  Don't forget to grab the My Mind's Eye-The Sweetest Thing, Tangerine "I Want It All" Bundle! from Fotobella.com

Have a fabulous day!

Design Team Post, Card Tutorial and Trash to Treasure.

Hi, Lisa back to share with you some designs with the Basic Grey "I Want It All Kit" Soleil. I wanted to give you a step by step on creating a simple card and how to use your packaging for something more.

This fast and easy card uses the patterned paper designs to make creating easy!

The base of this card uses the "Bikini" patterned paper. This paper has a pretty stripe that is broken up a few time to create a "layered" look. You can use that to create dimension quickly and easily and use it as starting point for your own design.

You will first need to carefully cut along the center line with your scissors or with a paper trimmer, as shown.

Next, simple fold in half and gently crease with a bone folder, if desired.

The next step is to add a strip of any pattern you choose down the center of your card, carefully lining up with strip in the center. This is optional. I took the "Yellow Umbrella" patterned paper with the pretty chevron pattern and used that to ad a "pop" of color to my design.

I cut out the pattern along the chevron before adding it onto the design as shown below.

Lastly, I removed the ribbon tails from the ribbon sticker and layered it onto a petal piece instead. I added a few more flowers in the top corner to balance the look of the card.

I also would like to share with you how you can take your packaging to create some cute Project Life Cards.

This fun cards are going to be used for my summer project life pages. I love having a few cards all made up so when my busy summer weeks come I will just be able to slip my pictures in the protectors, add some journaling and the week will be all documented and done.

I started these cards with the packaging base found in all the embelisshment packages. The packaging looks like this...

I noticed the grid designs right away and I could not throw them away! I knew they would be prefect to use for Project Life!

I used my paper trimmer to cut them down to 4x6 or 3x4 cards.

Here are the finished 4x6 designs.

and the 3x4 cards

These cards were so fun and easy to layer and create. I used the leftovers sitting my desk (and that trash) and they came out so cute!

Do you use "trash" on your pages or projects? Leave a comment and share your fun ideas for using packaging or throw aways on yous pages.
