Children's Hour Membership: May Card & Tags Sneak Peek!

Hello and Happy Spring!
ReNae here, with your FotoBella Design Team, and I am so excited to show you a peek at the beautiful cards and tags you will make in our May Children's Hour Cards & Tags class.  With paid membership you will receive everything you need to make these gorgeous cards and tags.  I think they are our prettiest yet!

Mother's Day is near,  so of course I wanted to design a card that was really special for Mom. I used Graphic 45's gorgeous papers, but also their metal Door Pull to create a trellis with flowers cascading down!
Just like Mom's garden, it's filled with lots of pretty flowers and lots of love!  This card will impress Mom, especially after finding out that you made it just for her!

We have a Mother's Day Tag to complement our card, perfect for attaching to that Mother's Day gift!

Mom will love this tag hanging from her gift!

We don't want to leave out other special occasions in May, like Graduation or a special Birthday, so this card was designed to be perfect for any occasion!
Perfect for a birthday, graduation or other special occasion
And if you have a special event like a wedding shower, this tag will be sure to impress!  Look at all the beautiful flowers!
This tag is so beautiful and perfect for a shower or birthday gift!
So springy and cheerful!
Look at this adorable little key, such a special touch!
This is one class you will NOT want to miss...

Earth Day with Prima Marketing Forever Green

Happy Earth Day!  It's Apryl with the FotoBella Design and today I am sharing an Earth Day project.  I put together a fun clipboard collage with the Prima Marketing Forever Green collection to share ideas of how to help take care of our planet.

The kids and I came up with ideas and friendly reminders of things we could do such as conserve water, pick up trash and use reusable bags to do our part and wrote them out on strips of papers to add to the collage.  We chose some fun pieces from the Forever Green Collection paper pads, fussy cut some pieces and embellished with flowers, leaves and painted wood embellishments.

The clipboard made such a cute base for this project and makes it easy to display in the house and may stay out as a decor piece even past April 22, thanks to the Dollar Spot at Target!  What will you be doing on Earth day?  Besides making fun crafts to celebrate, the kids have some fun projects planned at school and I'll be teaching water conservation at a local Children's Environmental Fair.

Have a great day!

Bo Bunny Secret Garden Shaker Tags

Shake things up with these vellum shaker tags made with Bo Bunny's Secret Garden I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella!

The tags measure 5 1/2" X 3 1/2" cut from the papers from the 12 X 12 Collection Pack and Ephemera, making them the perfect size to attach the vellum foil pieces. But first I punched holes on top, and finished the edges with Ranger Silver Embossing Powder. Using some fibers from my own stash, I tied them off through the tops of the holes.

After adding some glitter pieces to the centers of the tags, I ran a glue stick along 1/2" of the vellum edges, and glued them in place. Then I machine stitched around them to keep the glitter from escaping. To the top centers of each vellum piece, I attached Brads.

I used some more of my fibers to string through the banner Buttons, along with the bird one on this purple tag.

Then I finished them off with some of the word stickers that come in the 12 X 12 Collection Pack!

Simple and elegant tags that were so fun to make, and especially shake! Make sure to shop FotoBella for this beautiful Bo Bunny Secret Garden Bundle and so much more!

Bo Bunny Secret Garden Layout

The beautiful new Bo Bunny Secret Garden I Want It All Bundle can be used for more than just Spring and Easter projects, like I did here for this memorial layout of a friend who passed away a few years ago!

I've been keeping this special photo for just the right collection, and love that I found matching papers for her shirt and jeans, and colors that I know she would love, with the Secret Garden 12 X 12 Collection Pack. By using the left side of this 2 page sketch , I was able to showcase some of the fabulous papers and embellies by using 1 1/2" squares to create a quilt design along the right. All of my paper edges were distressed with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser , and finished with machine-stitching along the edges. I also used papers from the Ephemera, along with some of the Brads and Buttons, in addition to the flowers, which are colored with Blueprint Sketch and Dusty Concord Distress Inks.

Along the bottom left side of the page I used some blue and silver sprays, and attached the purple Chipboard flourish, where I added the colored flowers that were both originally a light blue. I left the white one alone, where I added "Remembering" with the alpha stickers that come in the 12 X 12 Collection Pack. To spell her name, I used BluePrint Sketch and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks with the Tim Holtz Cargo Alphabet Stencil and my Blending Tool.

Make to sure to check out FotoBella for all of the latest supplies you may need, and of course to pick up this gorgeous Bo Bunny Secret Garden I Want It All Bundle!! Have a great day!

By The Sea Framed Art with My Mind's Eye

Hi everyone!  It's Apryl with the FotoBella Design Team here to share my latest project using My Mind's Eye By the Sea I Want It All Bundle.  Have you ever made a framed art project with your cutting machine and scrapbook supplies?  I have been wanting to do a project like this for awhile and am really excited with how it turned out!

I found this saying "Family is the anchor that holds us through life's storms" at the online Silhouette store and had to have it.  I used my Cameo to cut it out on a piece of 12' x 12' white textured card stock.

I used a variety of 6"x 6" and pieces of 12"x12" papers from the By the Sea collection to tape to the back and fill the words.  It was such a fun creative process!  Mixing and matching the paper patterns to get just the right look I wanted took a while but was well worth it.

I think my favorite pattern is the red and white stripe paper that I place at opposite angles for the words "Anchor" and "Us".

My second favorite?  The anchor!  I added a banner die cut that I altered to hide the words that was already written on it I and added our family name "Holland" using the navy and silver alpha stickers.

I also added the lighthouse die cut to the bottom left hand corner of the piece.  So fun!  The embellishments and the white card stock cut out was inked using dark brown and navy ink pads.  Where is the frame from your wondering?  Good ol' Hobby Lobby!

Like this project?  Want one for yourself?  Go to FotoBella.com to get your My Mind's Eye By The Sea bundle and Hobby Lobby for a fabulous frame!
