Hi all, Jennifer Taylor here. I am stopping by to share a fun page i made of my middle daughter when she was younger at Christmas time from about 6 years ago. I challenged myself to use the polka dot papers from both the echo park and carta bella papers i was given and not to use any green. Do you challenge yourself too? I just loved how the torn look on my snowman card came out that I decided to give it a try on a scrapbook page.
here are the goodies I got in my November dt box
12 x 12 scrapbook page
First, I chose the picture I wanted to use on my page then I grabbed the snow fun brads packaging-(you know I can't let anything go to waste) look at that cool border of light blue on it! so I cut it off and used it as a layer to my photo. then I grabbed the carta bella foiled polka dot paper and the echo park polka dot paper and trimmed it to mat the photo then tore the edges. I love this look!
I then layered them under the photo.
Before I adhered the photo and mats down I cut a piece of light blue label off the brad embellishments and added a piece on top and a piece on the bottom. one has her name and the other half the date
Next, I carried the torn look onto the other side using longer 12 inch strips and the same colors layering them ontop of each other |
.
After adhering the torn strips to the left side of the page layout I added the cabin fever by carta bella mitten banner to the middle to connect the two sides. I also, rubbed on the snowflakes and added brads in the middle of them .
Lastly, to finish the page I added two more blue diecuts from the brad embellishments and a merry Christmas flair to the corner of the photo. the title I made from letter stickers I had in my stash
