Hi all, it's Annie and today I'm back with a fun gift project using the PhotoPlay Here & There Collection. This time of year, I find myself giving tons of gift cards out to recent graduates and I thought it would be fun to dress a special one up for my niece.
The Here & There Collection was perfect to make this little suitcase holder for her...it's vintage with some fun feminine touches. I cut the box out of one of the sheets of patterned paper in the collection with my electronic cutting machine, but you could easily create a simple box shape by hand and decorate it to look like this as well.
Solid details like the straps, handle, and card holder insert were cut from Espresso Bean and Ecru cardstock. I inked the edges of all of the pieces with Vintage Photo Distress Ink before assembling for a vintage look.
To mimic the look of travel stickers on a vintage suitcase, I added some ephemera pieces and cardstock stickers from the collection to the front. As a final touch, I adhered a few paper flowers to the handle.
I hope you enjoyed this fun gift project and thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to visit the FotoBella store and pick up this beautiful collection today!
