DIY Recipe Books Using Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora Collection

Hello everyone!! Today, I am back to share with you my final design team project for this month! This collection from Graphic 45 makes it very simple to create all of the projects that I created this month.

The, " I Really Want It All " Bundle from Fotobella online store makes projects like the ones I created easy and you still have a lot of product left over.

I focused on DIY home decor projects for my daughter Destinee, who will be decorating the kitchen of her new home that she will be purchasing this summer.

#Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora Collection
Two DIY Recipe Books

Process and Products

First, these were simple to create as I had a chipboard album in stash that I had purchased on clearance @ Michaels Craft store. But, you can create your own album from chipboard. I also used the same kraft card stock that I used on the Graphic 45 DIY Kitchen Calendar that I created in my previous project for Fotobella. Then, the kraft cardstock just had to be trimmed slightly to size.

Side Note

(Note: These albums that have the kraft card stock come with A LOT of sheets so this is why I used some up on these 2 projects).

So, as you might have noticed, I created 3 actually 4 big projects using the Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora collection. You can find this entire collection at Fotobella.com

Now, to see how I created these books you can check out my process video:

So, as you might have noticed I created three DIY projects with this Graphic 45 bundle and still had A LOT of product left over! Next, I will probably be creating another project such as a recipe box or another calendar.

Again, here are the other two projects I created with this collection.

Graphic 45 Ocean BlueTwo-Page Layout - Design Team project by Laurie

For my final project with the amazing Ocean Blue collection by Graphic 45, I decided on a two-page layout.

I have some great photos from some amazing whale watching trips that I wanted to showcase. This collection is just amazing for this!

Two-Page Layout

Graphic 45 Layout Details

First, I started with two sheets of navy blue cardstock. Next, I cut strips from 2 of the sheets from the Graphic 45 12x12 Collection Pack to make "border" strips along two sides on each page. Actually, I decided to keep the accents and embellishments simple because I really wanted to focus on the photos.

First Page

The first page chronicles the beginning of the "tail." I cut the "You, Me, and the Sea" from the border strip on the 12x12 paper. Then, I added a piece from the Graphic 45 Ocean Blue die cut assortment in the upper corner that really describes how I felt that day.

You, Me, and the Sea

After that, I cut a ships wheel from the patterned paper and one from dark brown cardstock using my Cricut Joy. Then, I layered them together to create a shadowed effect.

Ships Wheel

Next, I attached the photos using pop dots to add some dimension to the page. I wanted the pages to really tie together so I added the border strips to the opposite side of the second page.

Final Touches of my G45 Layout

Then, I added another ships wheel in the upper left corner. I tied two pieces from the die cut assortment pack together and popped them onto the lower right corner.

I left the top hanging free just to give it some character. Finally, I used another piece from the Graphic 45 die cut assortment pack to create a title for the layout.

Whale of a Tail

If you follow the order of the pictures, you can see the whale's tale flip from start to finish. This blue whale put on a fantastic show for us that day!

The Graphic 45 Ocean Blue collection is the perfect accent for my photos!

I hope you have enjoyed the project! I have had so much working with this collection this month! You can find it all at Fotobella.com

Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora DIY Kitchen Calendar

Hello crafty friends! I'm back to share this Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora DIY Home Decor piece that I created for my daughter. I originally wanted this to be a recipe book/holder type of project, but then I decided on this calendar instead.

I used the new collection from Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora I Want It All Bundle from Fotobella.

DIY, Calendar, Graphic 45
Fruit & Flora Calendar

Graphic 45 Supplies

In addition to the Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora I Want It All Bundle, I used a few other items.

I already had this frame in my stash that I had purchased from Tuesday Morning a while back. It's one from Tim Holtz Idea-ology. First, I began by going over it with white 13@rts Gesso. Next, I set it aside while I did my calendar. I had some pieces of thin kraft paper from a premade journal I had bought a few years ago from Michaels, this one is similar from Prima Marketing. It comes with tons of kraft cardstock.

Album containing the card stock used for base

Process

So, I just selected my papers from the Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora collection and I cut and adhered them over the kraft paper just to make it a little more sturdy. Once finished with all the papering, I added some We R Memory Keepers Eyelets and Washers to my pages. Once finished with that I used some Tim Holtz Distress Ink Vintage Photo around the edges .

You Can Make This Too!

I then, found a similar project on Pinterest where I was able to print out the calendar. Without realizing and just trying to rush to finish my project, this blog post was from a previous year so the calendar wasn't current. So, I recommend you look for a current printable calendar but I did find in this same blog post that you can get the instructions on here for this similar project as I did mine slightly different.

Here is the link that blog if you would like to know how to create this project.

After, I had printed my calendar out, I trimmed them just a little to the size I needed them and added some more Vintage Photo Distress Ink around them and adhered them. Finally, I took out the stickers and ephemera die cuts from Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora collection. I used a variety throughout the front of my pages.

This project was super easy to create and it turned out beautiful and this paper collection makes it look that much better! So if you need to make a quick gift, I recommend creating something like this just adding your own touches!

I hope that you liked the project I created and I still have plenty of supplies left from this Graphic 45 kit so I will be creating something to go with this calendar so stay tuned!

Hugs,

Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album by Laurie- Fotobella Design Team

Hi everyone. Laurie here from the design team with my Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album.

For my second project, I wanted to make something that I could add my favorite photos from my time spent in the San Diego area to. The Ocean Blue collection by Graphic 45 is so perfect!

Graphic 45, FotoBella, Album
Ocean Blue Waterfall Album

Album Details

I used weight chipboard to create my cover.

Next, I covered the chipboard with ivory linen cardstock and, matted the patterned paper with navy card stock. I only sponged ink on the edges of the patterned paper. I had some "ribbon" in my stash that resembled netting so I added a strip to the cover. After that, I used the circle die cut element and fussy cut the seahorse and fish from the Cozumel sheet. I used a die from my stash to create some "seaweed" for the fish to swim through, and jazzed up the corners with some of the Matte Pearl Gems.

Inside of the Album

On the inside, I added two waterfalls (one on each cover piece) with regular Graphic 45 tags as the closures. I then used some lightweight twine to tie them closed.

Each waterfall has the same papers from the Graphic 45 Ocean Blue 12x12 Collection Pack on each page. I added a navy mat to the tag closures using the G45 Regular Tag and Gears Die Set. Then, I added some patterned paper and a small cut apart to each one. I added a full mat to the top page, a 3/8-inch strip to cover the scored flap, and a 3/4-inch strip to the bottom of each page using the tan striped sheet from the Ocean Blue Patterns and Solids Collection. On the back of the pages I added a 3/4-inch strip at the top (when flipped up).

A Special Addition

I wanted to add something for special journaling to this album so I used the lined booklet from the Graphic 45 Notebook Set. I covered the outside and inside of the covers with papers from the 12x12 collection pad and added some elements from the Stickers and Die Cut Assortment found here.

Travel Journal Cover

So, on the back cover of the Travel Journal I added my favorite piece from the Ocean Blue Ephemera Pack...

Back of Travel Journal

I added two eyelets to the spine and attached the journal using some heavy baker's twine from my stash. Finally, I tied on some fun nautical trinkets that I found online to give it vintage finishing touch.

Spine with Trinkets

I had so much fun making this album. The Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album may look complicated but is surprisingly simple to put together. I will have all of the details and some step by step helps on my blog at laurieslazydaydesigns.blogspot.com

I can't wait to add my photos of whale watching, seals, and sunny days spent by the bay to these fun little waterfalls! It is sure to be a great way to relive those wonderful memories. I hope you are inspired to create a keepsake album of your own. Graphic 45 really came through with this collection! I could almost smell the ocean when I was working with it!

See you soon with another fun project!

Next, I used the lovely Bo Bunny black floral paper with the bird cage print. The butterfly is from the 12 x 12 chipboard, the flowers were handmade by me, the sentiment is from "small talk" by Tim Holtz and the ribbon is from Really reasonable ribbon.

I used black 110 lb card stock for my base and place the Bo Bunny black lace paper on top. Then, I embellished the front with the three butterfly dimensional chipboard. DIY Kitchen Decor Piece Using Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora Collection

Hello everyone!! I'm back crafty friends & this month I am working with the newly released paper collection from Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora. It's an amazingly beautiful collection! The colors and so beautifully vibrant yet a vintage look as well.

Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora Collection

With that said, I decided I would alter a small wooden cutting board I had in my stash. I actually had previously painted it a different color, so of course had to repaint it the color I wanted it to be to match this paper collection.

So, I began by going over it with white Gesso , letting it dry then painting it with acrylic paint in Antique White. After that dried I used Folk Art Crackle paint. And then, let that dry completely over night and the next day I brushed over the top with DecoArt White Crackle Paint for extra crackle.

Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora
This is the paper I used behind my frame

I then, picked out the paper from the Graphic 45 8x8 paper pad that I would use for the background. Next, I adhered the paper to the frame then adhered that to the cutting board. After, I added the spoon embellishment inside the frame and added some lace trim applique on the top of the frame and the bottom of the cutting board.

This is the 12x12 sheet used for fussy cutting image

Time to Fussy Cut

Then, I chose the paper that I would be fussy cutting, which came from 12x12 Graphic 45 Fruit & Flora collection pack as well. Once I was done fussy cutting the images, I wanted I used Tim Holtz Gathered Twigs Distress Ink around the edges of it. I then added an ephemera piece/die cut on the bottom of the cutting board and a small green bling piece on top center of the frame. Finished it off with a few flowers from my stash.

This DIY home decor piece will hang in my kitchen, unless my daughter wants it for her home lol. She loves to ask me for a lot of my completed projects so she can display in her home. It's an honor for me, to be honest.
