Cyber Monday Mixed Media Page

Cyber Monday is finally here, which means deals and sales are to be found everywhere online today! Drea here with the Design Team, and I made another page in my art journal  using some mixed media from FotoBella.com.

There's lots of layers on the background, starting with some torn book pages that I gathered from some of my Bo Bunny Ephemera Packages. Over that I applied a coat of Prima Marketing's Heavy White Gesso, letting it dry, before adding some background stamping using Prima's Salvage District Clock Stamp with Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink. Then I applied Prima Marketing's Black Gesso to the Tim Holtz Dot Fade Stencil with one of my Bo Bunny Palette Knives. I used some large alpha stencils with white gesso to spell SALE, and then sprayed my page with Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain. Then I masked "Cyber Monday" with White Linen Dylusions Paint, and used Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain with my fingers to rub over some of the dots. To deepen the red of the title, I used a paintbrush to apply another coat of the Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain.

I used a punch to make the sale tags, stamping SALE with Candied Apple Distress Ink, and inking the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. I also used the Candied Apple Distress Ink to highlight today's date on the mini calendar that I printed out for November, and to stamp more texture with Bo Bunny's Rough it Up Stamp.

To make the FotoBella girl, I simply traced her from one of my Clear Storage Boxes for Bundles, and used those pieces with some cardstock to piece her together. Again I used Candied Apple Distress Ink to make her shirt, adding some dimension to her earring and bracelets with White Opal Liquid Pearls.

I hope I've inspired you today to not only scrap, but to shop for all of those deals, especially here at FotoBella.com!

Dream it with Bo Bunny Felicity

Hello friends, if you've been following my Bo Bunny Felicity projects you've seen just how versatile this collection is.  I've made a variety of cards and layouts.  Today I'm sharing a boy layout using the dark green colors in this collection as it's foundation.  I think it's ok to add some pink in a boy layout, don't you?  My son may not agree!

The title is a Silhouette cut file by Kolette Hall.  I altered the words slightly from it's original design.  First, I have the words go all the way to the right edge of the page and trimmed the words to be flush with the edge.  Also, for the word "it", I used the negatives and cut them into squares to add a more masculine feel to the look of it.

There are some elements from the Ephemera packet for embellishments.  I added a few stickers and jazzed them up with Platinum color Stickles.  I mean if I'm going to add pink, I'm going add some sparkle also ;-  The Stickles give the layout just enough "pop".

Visit FotoBella.com to get your Bo Bunny Felicity collection so you can have as much fun designing projects with it as I have.

Have a fabulous day!

Button Day Cards

Happy National Button Day! Drea here with the Design Team, and I can't believe another year has already gone by since my post here, celebrating one of my favorite embellishments! I got into my late Grandma's button stash to create a couple of cards using some of my older Bundles. Pinterest is always full of great ideas, and inspired this cute, little, snowman family!

The background was done with Hickory Smoke, Pumice Stone, and Weathered Wood Distress Inks spritzed with some water.  Then I used an old toothbrush to apply snow using White Linen Dylusions Paint. The actual snow texture, which I absolutely LOVE, was done with Prima Marketing's Snowflake Paste, used on the hills and the tree sticker applied with Bo Bunny's Palette Knife!

The snowmen were made with 3 buttons, knotted at the eyes, with scraps of ribbons for the scarves. Then I cut the hats from black cardstock, coating them with Black Diamond Stickles, also used on the edges of the sentiment.

This other card was made for my nephew, and again uses up some older Bundles, including Bo Bunny's Pop Quiz Papers with Black Soot Distress Ink applied to the edges.

After printing the bus image onto white cardstock, I applied Glossy Accents to the windows, and Orange Peel Stickles to the lights. Black buttons make perfect wheels, atop the embossed music notes stamped with Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink!

Bo Bunny Bundles and Ephemera Packs almost always have buttons in them, including chipboard ones. Don't be afraid to mix up different collections like I did on this banner strung together with twine.

Thanks for your visit! You can never have enough Buttons, so shop FotoBella.com to add to your collection!

Yard Sale with Silhouette

I love my Silhouette CAMEO!

It has made crafting so fun, and easy!

So of course, planning for a yard sale, I knew my Silhouette would come in handy.

Easily design and lay out the words I wanted, in the size and font I wanted

Let the CAMEO do it's job, and cut!
Easily remove the letters and place centered and straight on the posterboard.

I made 4 signs, and got so many compliments from people who came to my yard sale. They said my signs were easy to see and easy to read!

Although, I should have made more for every street corner!!

Enjoy your day, and hop on over to FotoBella.com to grab Silhouette products

Holiday Gift Box

Hello everyone!
Jeri here with the FotoBella Design Team, and I have a custom Holiday gift wrap idea for you today.

I am working with the darling Cottage Life I Want It All Bundle by 49 and Market. It's a fun collection to use for Spring or Fall gardening crafts, however, I like to test myself with collections and see if I can create something opposite than what it looks like it's intended for.

Christmas is coming and I am mostly done with the gift part, now I am onto the gift wrap part. I pulled a few of the pieces out of the bundle to craft this gift box.

I covered an existing box with this red wood panel sheet, and inked the edges with the Aged Mahogany Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I crinkled this cute post card cut out and tied it on with jute. And of course, finished the gift box off with a red jingle bell and some paper flowers from the bundle.

I hope you have enjoyed this project and are inspired to create!

Beautiful Life with Bo Bunny Felicity

Hello, FotoBella friends, Apryl here with the FotoBella design team getting my hands messy with the Bo Bunny Felicity collection.  I had some fun with this layout, and dove right in the creating process with out really having a plan.  It took a fun direction and I'm happy with the results.

I went through the Felicity collection, 12"x12" papers and the papers in the Ephemera pack.  I layered them up randomly and then sprizted them a couple of times with Heidi Swapp's color shine in Bronze and Turquoise.

I then selected the musical note patterned paper to matte my photo with and put it all down on the 12x12 sheet of Felicity Always paper.  I placed that on top of the 12x12 Dreamer paper and tore away the edges at the corners and along the sides.

Here's a closer look at some of the layering and where I tore some edges throughout the layout.  I ran brown ink along the paper edges and tears.  For the journaling, I cut out a piece from the 12x12 vellum sheet, tucking that in above the photo.  The Bo Bunny Felicity collection has some fun whimsical pieces, find it all at FotoBella.com

Have a fabulous day!
