Today I am excited to share this Layered Greeting Card I created using the stunning Prima Fruit Paradise Papers and Prima Marketing Julie Nutting Butterfly Bliss Chipboard. The colors in these papers is absolutely beautiful and so rich! I just love the look of layered greeting cards but sadly, when creating I tend to create more flat cards. So the card was created as a challenge to myself to add layers and dimension to my cards! I managed to add 8 layers!
Gather your Supplies
Prima Fruit Paradise A4 Paper Pad
Prima Marketing Julie Nutting Butterfly Bliss Chipboard
Ribbons, Eiffel Tower Die, Dimensional Paint, dimensional adhesive, cardstock- white, green, lattice background die, gold ink
Creating your Layered Greeting Card
Layer 1 - Start by trimming your Coordinating card stock to fit your card base. Adhere to your card base.
Layer 2 - Trim your Prima Fruit Paradise Paper to be slightly smaller that your Coordinating Card Stock. Ink your edges as desired, with gold ink and then adhere to your card.
Layer 3 - Die cut a lattice background from some white cardstock. Make sure it will fit your card, and adhere to the paper using dimensional adhesives.
Layers 4 & 5 - Die cut your Eiffel Tower from Prima Fruit Paradise Papers and adhere to your layered greeting card in the bottom right corner. Now, add some dimensional paint drops in the centers of lattice die cut.
Layer 6 & 7 - Finally, add your Prima Fruit Paradise Chipboard and Prima Marketing Julie Nutting Butterfly Bliss Chipboard, layering the “Paris” on top of the ticket chipboard. And then, you can add the butterfly chipboard in upper corner.
Layer 8 - Finish your greeting card by adding a show bow.
I hope you enjoyed this project and are inspired to create a layered greeting card.
Chris
