Happy Thanksgiving! ReNae here with the FotoBella design team bringing you a quick and easy project for place cards to adorn your holiday table!
ReNae here with the FotoBella DT. Here’s a recipe for fun while the turkey is roasting, and the pie is baking. Gather the family together and assemble these darling cards! Next have the kids place the cards around the table. Now everyone will have a personal memory of the day! I used left over Halloween paper called “Midnight Tales” by Graphic 45. Here are the steps to make these adorable place cards:
Supplies Needed for Place Cards
Supplies for your cards include Midnight Tales Paper Collection, Midnight Tales Coordinating Cardstock, Graphic 45 Tag Pockets & Butterfly dies, Die Cutting machine, Corner Chomper, Paper Cutter, Tape Runner or Scor-Tape.
Cutting Pockets and Tags
Begin creating place cards by cutting two pockets of each color (Yellow, Green and Orange) Next, cut six tags from the “Hallowed Eve” paper. Cut the tag in half 1 1/4” from bottom edge to create a strip. Round all corners of the strip using the Corner Chomper. Next, adhere strip to bottom of pocket using tape runner.
Finally, adhere pumpkin paper to front of pocket using tape runner. Cut two rectangles of each color measuring 3” x 2 3/8’ then tuck inside each pocket. Your cards are now ready to personalize.
Personalize the Place Cards
There are lots of ways to display the place cards. You can place it inside of a decorative holder such as the one pictured, or simply place on top of dinner plate. Remove inside tag and write the name of the guest on the tag or use alphabet stamps. Your guests will love searching for and finding their seat assignments!
This is a fun activity to do on or before Thanksgiving and is also a great way to decorate your Christmas table. Just use the new “Let it Snow” paper collection by Graphic 45.
