Mini Album Tutorial Series: Finishing Your Alice in Wonderland Album

Alice in Wonderland mini album

Hi crafty friends. It’s Kristine again and I’m back today with the final installment of the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland mini album tutorial. I cannot believe we are wrapping up our album. So far, we have made base pages. Then, added flaps and interactive elements on each page. Next, we decorated our pages with the fabulous Stamperia 12 x 12 papers, background papers, and collectables papers. Of course, our embellishments included the die cut assortment matching the paper collection!

Before introducing the final two videos in the series, I want to take a minute to talk about the collection. The Alice in Wonderland papers are gorgeous and so much fun to use. With all of the fussy cut pieces, the collection is perfect for a mini album. However, it would also make beautiful cards, scrapbook layouts, and journal ephemera. The colors are a mix of bold reds and bright aquas on a creamy off-white background. Furthermore, the pages have distressed edges. These details along with the classic Alice images try give the collection that vintage feel.

Mini Album Tutorial Videos 11 & 12

For video #11, we will begin constructing the base of the mini album. To do so, we will be using heavy weight chipboard and black cardstock. Once the base if complete, we will move on to making the extended hinge system to bind our pages. Then, it is time to add our magnetic sleeves onto the hinges. And finally, we will snap our pages into the magnetic pockets to complete the basic construction of the mini album.

Our final video will take you step-by-step through decorating the front and back covers. We will begin cutting and layering paper to the outside and inside of the covers. If you’ve followed along so far, you realize have three whole 12 x 12 papers uncut. That’s about to change! Then, we will move on to making the photo mats for the pocket pages. Finally, we will finish up this video by making some additional inserts for the accordion pocket on Page 2 of the mini album.

If you have been following along with me to make your own Alice in Wonderland mini album, thank you! I hope you enjoyed the process and found the tutorials helpful. However, if you are just now tuning into the series, I hope you will go back and give them a try. Although the album only has two actual pages, it has mats for 72 photos!
