Bo Bunny Celebrating Freedom Design Team Post by Laurie

Easy Bo Bunny Scrapbook Layout

I love summer afternoons! It is always an added bonus to have nice weather to allow some outdoor fun. And what better way to spend those afternoon than a visit with my “two favorite guys.” Check out my Bo Bunny Celebrating Freedom Layout!

Memorial Day Fun

The Base

I like to have a good sturdy base for my layouts. Sometimes they land in a frame rather than an album so I like to be prepared..Lol! This time I started with a 12x12-inch piece of Navy linen cardstock from the Bo Bunny collection. I layered a piece of white measuring 11 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches. For the patterned layered, I chose the cute Liberty page from the collection and trimmed it to 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches.

The Main Focus

I chose my two favorite photos from the day and built my page around them. I printed the pictures and layered them onto white cardstock. Then I cut a partial mat from navy cardstock and layered it to opposite corners on the back of each photo. I attached the photo of the boys using mini glue dots and then popped up the photo of Cooper and I with pop dots. Then the real fun begins....

Adding the Bo Bunny Elements

For a fun title, I used the letters from the Bo Bunny sticker sheet and layered them onto red and navy cardstock circles using 3/4” and 1” punches. I used one of the stars from the Noteworthy pack and layered it onto red and navy cardstock and fussy cut the star shape. Next, I popped the letters up and glued the star directly to the paper. I used the banner piece from the sticker sheet and wrote “Memorial Day” onto the center. I layered it onto navy cardstock and fussy cut around it to create a mat.

Save the Date

I always like to date my photos and scrapbook pages so I have a record of time. The fabulous alphabet and numbers foam elements in the Bo Bunny Celebrating Freedom bundle are a super fun way to do just that. And they add lots of sparkle without the glittery mess.

I also added another of the stars from the Noteworthy layered onto white and navy cardstock. Then I used the fun butterfly sticker border along the bottom of the page.

Bo Bunny May Flowers

They say that April showers bring May flowers. This Bo Bunny Noteworthy collection has many to choose from when you want to decorate. I like to add dimension so they look a bit more realistic before I glue them on. I snipped between the petals to the flower centers and then rolled my stylus around on the back of the flowers and leaves. Then I flipped them right side up and ran the stylus in a circular motion just in the center of the flowers. This allows the petals to stay shaped.

Great Family Memory

Conor and Cooper will turn 2 years old in September. They are growing so quickly and they really love to carry their little chairs around the yard to find the perfect spot for relaxing. Cooper loves to read books and often brings one to me so we can read together.

I cherish every moment I am blessed to spend with these little guys and their parents. My son, Dan, is the best dad! I could not ask for a more perfect daughter-in-law than his wife, Leah. Oh, I am so grateful for the cherished memories we are creating together and look forward to many more.

I had so much fun creating this layout with the fabulous Bo Bunny Celebrating Freedom I Want It All Collection. You can purchase yours at Fotobella.com along with many other great products.
