How to turn a box lid into a beautiful shadow box using G45 Joy to the World

Hi all, Jennifer Taylor here. Today I am stopping by to share a fun diy shadow box using a box lid. Any kind of sturdy box lid will work for this. I used a box lid from a boxed thank you card set came in about 5x7 in size . I loved the way the box top had script on it and already had a finished look to it. Of course if you are using a more basic or a patterned lid you don't like you can easily decoupage coordinating paper onto it.

So to start I am using papers and stickers from the Graphic 45 Joy to the World Collection. I found a few pattern papers with angels and flowers on it that I liked and traced the box lid onto the one I use as the inside base layer. I then cut it out and glued it down inside of box lid using double sided tape. ( my fav tape- I will link it at the bottom of post)

I then started fussy cutting out images and words I liked from various papers from the collection to see what I wanted to add to the background paper of the shadow box.

Next I layered on more pattern paper with foam tape from my stash to the background paper

And so we keep adding layers in. I then added a angel I cut out and foam taped her in as well.

Next I glued in joy to the world near her feet and added beautiful paper flowers from my stash from prima and 49 and market.

Lastly, I used gold glitter to accent the flowers, bells, and angel to make it pop with sparkle. Oh I almost forgot, I added a border sticker from the collection to the bottom of the edge of the box to look like trim.
