Lollipop Day Tutorial

     Hello and happy National Lollipop Day! Drea here with the FotoBella Design Team, and I'm featuring these treats on a card made with the Bo Bunny Sweet Moments Collection from FotoBella.com.

     I punched the edges of the green paper from the 12 X 12 Collection Pack, and layered the large die cut from the Noteworthy Pack on top, after blending the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink. Then I added the cake from the Layered Chipboard. 

     The sentiment was done with the alpha stickers found in the Bo Bunny Forever Young Collection. 

     To make the lollipops you'll need some circles cut from white cardstock. I cut mine on my Cricut Expression at 1 1/4". Then you'll need some embroidery thread in white and your color of choice. Cut the threads at three feet long, and divide the white thread in half, so you're left with three strands. Make a knot on the end, and with a sewing needle, pierce through the center of your circle.

     Add a generous amount of glue to the center half of circle, and start twisting your threads while forming a spiral. Continue to twist and glue until you've covered the circle completely.

     To make the stick, simply cut the swabs off the ends of a Q-Tip, and tie a ribbon on top.

How Sweet It Is

     Do you have a sweet tooth? Because today is National Ice Cream Day! Drea here with the FotoBella Design Team, and in honor of this day, I created an art journal page with my Bo Bunny Sweet Moments Bundle and Dylusions Paints.

     To make the background, I used my fingers to apply Dylusions Paints, (Bubblegum Pink, Fresh Lime, Melted Chocolate, and White Linen). By spritzing with some water and tilting my page around, the colors were able to bleed and blend into eachother. Then I applied white gesso to a polka dot stencil with one of my Bo Bunny Palette Knives.

     The banner is made from the Sweet Moments Chipboard, anchored by a couple of buttons from the Ephemera.

     For the titlework, I used a mix of Noteworthy and sticker banners, using black and white alpha stickers from the Bo Bunny Forever Young Collection.

     I made the pattern myself for the ice cream and cone, piecing it from papers in the 12 X 12 Collection Pack and the Ephemera.To make the cone I cut a piece of paper to measure 3 inch by 3 1/2 inches, and actually shaped it into a cone. Then I flattened it out, and sewed the grid lines with my sewing machine. The edges of the ice cream were colored with Distress Inks, using my Blending Tool with Picked Raspberry on top, Gathered Twigs in the middle, also used on the cone, and Ground Espresso on the bottom. Then I added chocolate sprinkles on top with Bo Bunny Double Dot Mocha Jewels.

Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss Layout

     Summer's here, and so is the new Bo Bunny Sunshine Bliss I Want It All 12 X 12 Collection Bundle from FotoBella.com! Drea here, with the Design Team, and I scrapped a page of my late grandmother, to feature this beautiful, pastel collection.

     I love this old photo of her, and extended the ray from the photo, onto the rest of my papers with my Blending Tool and watered down White Linen Dylusions Paint.

     The bigger flowers came in the Noteworthy pack, and the rest were fussy-cut. Then I adhered beads onto the centers with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. I also fussy-cut the leaves, embossed with the Bo Bunny Floral Stamp, using Ranger Verdigris Embossing Powder.

     The same Verdigris Embossing Powder was also used on the wood birdcage, after coating it with Bo Bunny White Gesso.

     Finally, I added the title using the chipboard Thickers!

"Trust the Magic" Dylusions Art Journal

     Hello FotoBella Fans! Drea here with the Design Team, and I had a blast making this art journal page with some stamps and Ranger Dyan Reaveley's Dylusions Paints from FotoBella.com!

     I started with the sky background, made from Dylusions Paints, (Crushed Grape, After Midnight, London Blue, Squeezed Orange, and Funky Fuchsia) and a little water, applied with my fingers. Then I used an old tree stamp along the sides, stamped with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. Besides the gold crackle, the same ink was used for the rest of the stamping, but embossed with Ranger's Rainbow Sparkle Embossing Powder. The gold crackle was stamped with an old Tim Holtz stamp, and embossed with Ranger Gold Tinsel.

     The main image and hearts were embossed with the Prima Marketing Finnabair Trust the Magic Stamp Set, which inspired this page.

     Then I embossed the butterflies with the Prima Marketing Finnabair Rust & Dust Stamp Set. I used a paintbrush with watered down White Linen Dylusions Paint to paint bubbles on the background, and adhered the sequins with Glossy Accents.

     Finally, I added some buttons, covered with Prima Marketing Black Gesso, and sprinkled with beads. Once dry, I went over them again with Dylusions Paints, and finished them off with Prima Marketing Metallique Wax (Vintage Gold).
