Kiss the Cook!

Hi everyone, ReNae here! Today's post features a project I designed using the Bo Bunny Kiss the Cook "I want it all Bundle" at FotoBella.com . This bundle was loaded with fun diecutslayered chipboardbuttons, colorful stickers, pretty blossoms and all kinds of ephemera, in addition to the amazing papers!  I had no trouble thinking up fun projects for this collection!

Today's project is a Recipe Album.  I used the paper collection to dress each of the twelve dividers, front and back, and used the other wonderful products in the bundle to embellish each divider. I punched five holes in each divider and attached them to an acrylic stand.  (Note: Recipe cards can later be added to the file in the appropriate section behind the dividers).

The first step was inking up the dividers.  Since I had twelve dividers I separated them into groups of four colors.  Using pigment ink, I colored the dividers just around the edges, as I knew I would be covering up the majority of the space with paper,  so no need to waste the ink.

The next step was to cover the dividers with the patterned paper.  I cut the paper so as to leave a 1/4 inch border all around the edges.  I used my corner rounder to soften the corners and adhered the paper to the divider.  Five holes were punched into each divider using my Big Bite.
After the paper was adhered, I placed stickers on a couple of the pieces of ephemera, creating my own personal stickers. Then I embellished the dividers as shown below.  Since I used a flip-type album, I tried to embellish both sides of the divider when possible because both sides would be visible.  And sometimes, I let the paper speak for itself.  Here are the finished dividers.  Enjoy!

Recipe albums are also good for memory keeping.  To preserve a fun cooking memory one could easily incorporate a photo and journaling spot instead of a recipe card.  And what a great project to do with your children or Grandma.  Be creative!  Have fun!  And always start with an "I want it all Bundle" from FotoBella.com!

This scrapbooking kit includes 2 sheets of 12 papers in the BoBunny Kiss the Cook collection (Kiss the Cook Paper, Kiss the Cook A La Mode Paper, Kiss the Cook Apple Pie Paper, Kiss the Cook Baked Fresh Paper, Kiss the Cook Cinnamon Paper, Kiss the Cook Delicious Paper, Kiss the Cook Family Recipe Paper, Kiss the Cook Farm Fresh Paper, Kiss the Cook Menu Paper, Kiss the Cook Pantry Paper, Kiss the Cook Quilt Paper, Kiss the Cook Yummy Paper), plus all of the embellishments: 1 sheet Kiss the Cook Foil Vellum Paper, Kiss the Cook Combo Sticker, Kiss the Cook Noteworthy, Kiss the Cook Layered Chipboard, Kiss the Cook Ephemera, as well as coordinating Bo Bunny Essentials: Wildberry Zinnia, Double Dot Mocha Jewels, Double Dot Citrus Brads and the exclusive FotoBella Paper Organizer.

  5. This is just beautiful, Renea! I think that it would be fun to make to showcase all of the "non-cooks" there are in my family, lol! We will cook out of messily, but would rather grab something and be done with it, hahaha! I got it from my mom!
