Side-Step Cards use G45 Cottage Life Continuing Stair-Step Cards Series
Stair-step cards are all the rage in the paper crafting world right now! We’ve been seeing them all over Pinterest, You Tube, Twitter, and Instagram! Hello again Crafty friends! I’m ReNae Allen, with the FotoBella Design Team. Today’s post is Part 2 of my Stair-Step Card Tutorial series where we will be constructing a “Side-Step” Card.
First, gather your supplies! The list is just below. Next, follow the pictorial tutorial. You will see a series of tiny dots below a photograph. Each dot represents a photo. Just click through the photos at your own pace to create your card!

Supplies Needed for Side-Step card
8x8 paper collection by Graphic 45*
Journaling Cards by Graphic 45*
Life Stickers by Graphic 45*
Die Cuts by Graphic 45*
Chipboard by Graphic 45*
Cardstock in pink, blue and green
Paper Timmer
Adhesive (Wet glue or Tape Runner)
White Glitter
Bone Folder
Pencil
T-Ruler
Trimming Scissors

This is a pictorial tutorial. Each step is illustrated and explained. Navigate through the photos by first clicking on the tiny arrow on each side of the photos. Next, follow the step-by-step directions at the bottom of each photo. Simple, right? OK, let’s get started!
Cutting the Side-Step Card Base
On scoring board, place piece of cardstock measuring 5.5 x 8.5" and Score a line across page at 4 1/4. Next. go to 3.25 " and pencil in a line down from the 5/8" line to the 7" line as shown.
Score the cardstock on the right side of the cut as follows: Score at 5/8", 1 1/4", 2 1/8", 3", 5 1/2" and 7".
Cut the line you just penciled in using a paper trimmer or craft knife
Fold card base as shown. Mountain and valley fold each score line. Use a bone folder and burnish fold on both sides.
