Valentine’s “With Love” Banner

Hello Friends,

Diane here today to share a beautiful and fun to make “with Love” banner. I had lots of fun making this lovely banner with the Prima Marketing “With Love” paper collection. This gorgeous shabby paper has lots of pink roses, pretty foliage, shabby frames, darling puffy hearts and lovely touches of robin’s egg blue. It is a beauty. Come join me to see this collection and what I created.

Banner Instructions:

First, to create this banner I took a banner nesting die set and using the two largest dies, I cut 8 banner pieces from the designer paper (4 of each)and 8 banner pieces from 110lb white card stock . Then, I took a nesting heart die set, and using one of the medium sized hearts I cut 4 out of designer paper and then 4 in 110lb white card stock . Next, I cut 4 doilies . Then, I cut 5 of the second to the smallest banner die out of Prima Marketing designer paper and 5 more out of 110lb white card stock. I made 5 pink bows, cut 6 leaf sets of white cardstock and cut 4 pieces of sparkly tulle. I also cut some pink fun foam to use in between my layers.

(4 Large Banners, 4 Medium banners, and 5 extra small banners.)

Now, adhere 1 designer paper banner piece to 1 white card stock piece. Glue all 4. Then glue the 5 small banner pieces together with the white card stock banner pieces. On the 4 Large banner pieces and the 5 extra small banners, punch a small hole into each top corner. Next run ribbon or string through the holes. If you are using ribbon with a directional print be sure to fuss the ribbon so that it face the desired direction.

I laid out my banner and started layering. I took the medium banner and glued pink fun foam to the back of it. (this adds dimension to the layers) Then I glued it to the top of large banner piece. Do this to all four banner pieces. Next I glued the sparkly tulle to the banner pieces using hot glue gathering it in the center. Next, I hot glued my doily to each piece.

You are almost done!

Adhere each Prima Marketing designer paper heart to a 110lb white card stock heart. You should have 4. Then, take your 4 hearts, and add fun foam to the back of each one. Once dry adhered them to each banner piece. I then took my alphabet chipboard stickers and spelled “LOVE” and placed each letter onto the center of each heart. I then just embellished the banner pieces, adding leaves, Prima flowers, Prima puffy stickers, Prima ephemera, glitter or whatever else you desire. Next attach the small bows to the top of the 5 extra small banners. Then tie a loop knot at the end of the ribbon for hanging.
