Card Tutorial: How to Layer Stickers to Create Dimension

Card made with Simple Vintage Coastal sticker sheet

Hi crafty friends. It’s Kristine and I’m back again today with another tutorial for you. This tutorial will show you how you can use the sticker sheet that comes with your paper collection. If you’re anything like me, you have so many stickers and just don’t know what to do with them! I also have a hard time making anything flat so I struggle to use. my sticker sheets. So, I challenged myself to decorate a card using only the sticker sheet!

For my card, I will be using the stickers from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage Coastal Collection Kit. This kit includes 12 sheets of double sided paper and the sticker sheet. The card base is made from the 12x12 Basics Kit that matches the Collection Kit.

Additional materials include distress ink (blue, green, and brown), a decorative edge die, and basic craft supplies (paper trimmer, scoring tool, scissors, foam squares, and adhesive). This card could easily be made using scraps from your stash!

Despite using only stickers to make this card, it is dimensional, too. To achieve this, I pop my stickers up on foam squares. Layering the sticker pieces gives the illusion of dimension, but without the bulk. Also, I added stickers to the inside of my card for a bit of decoration.
