Christmas Planner Spread

Hi There! It’s Lynda from Scrapbook with Lynda here again to share another fun project made with the Home for Christmas collection by Carta Bella. The Home for Christmas collection has a wide variety of embellishments available including this fun sticker book.

carta bella, home for christmas, fotobella, planner

This sticker book is full of Christmas themed stickers that are perfect for making cards, scrapbook layouts, Christmas tags and planner spreads. The size and scale of the stickers in this book is ideal for planner spreads, so I decided to decorate one week in my December planner using them.

Creating a Carta Bella Christmas Planner Spread

There are so many great Christmas and holiday images in the Home for Christmas sticker book by Carta Bella that it was hard to pick only a few for my planner spread.

carta bella, home for christmas, fotobella, planner

When making a diagonal spread I always start at the bottom left corner. Of course this isn’t a must, it’s just my approach. I like to anchor the bottom left corner with a larger sticker, then move to the top right corner where I place another larger sticker.

Once the top and bottom anchor stickers are in place I position the other larger stickers in a diagonal line up the two pages that make up my weekly planner spread.

carta bella, home for christmas, fotobella, planner

After the large stickers are in place I fill in with medium stickers, then smaller ones. I like the diagonal line to be pretty full, so I keep layering stickers until I like the look. The best part of using the Carta Bella Home for Christmas sticker book is that there are so many stickers to choose from.

I’m coming to the end of my term as a Design Team member for FotoBella, but I still have one more Christmas themed project to share with you. So remember to stop back to see my final Design Team project for the FotoBella team.

Remember you can see projects I’m making by signing up for my blog email notices or following me on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.

Happy Scrapping!

Mini Album Tutorial Series: Finishing Your Alice in Wonderland Album

Alice in Wonderland mini album

Hi crafty friends. It’s Kristine again and I’m back today with the final installment of the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland mini album tutorial. I cannot believe we are wrapping up our album. So far, we have made base pages. Then, added flaps and interactive elements on each page. Next, we decorated our pages with the fabulous Stamperia 12 x 12 papers, background papers, and collectables papers. Of course, our embellishments included the die cut assortment matching the paper collection!

Before introducing the final two videos in the series, I want to take a minute to talk about the collection. The Alice in Wonderland papers are gorgeous and so much fun to use. With all of the fussy cut pieces, the collection is perfect for a mini album. However, it would also make beautiful cards, scrapbook layouts, and journal ephemera. The colors are a mix of bold reds and bright aquas on a creamy off-white background. Furthermore, the pages have distressed edges. These details along with the classic Alice images try give the collection that vintage feel.

back cover of Alice mini album

Mini Album Tutorial Videos 11 & 12

For video #11, we will begin constructing the base of the mini album. To do so, we will be using heavy weight chipboard and black cardstock. Once the base if complete, we will move on to making the extended hinge system to bind our pages. Then, it is time to add our magnetic sleeves onto the hinges. And finally, we will snap our pages into the magnetic pockets to complete the basic construction of the mini album.

Our final video will take you step-by-step through decorating the front and back covers. We will begin cutting and layering paper to the outside and inside of the covers. If you’ve followed along so far, you realize have three whole 12 x 12 papers uncut. That’s about to change! Then, we will move on to making the photo mats for the pocket pages. Finally, we will finish up this video by making some additional inserts for the accordion pocket on Page 2 of the mini album.

If you have been following along with me to make your own Alice in Wonderland mini album, thank you! I hope you enjoyed the process and found the tutorials helpful. However, if you are just now tuning into the series, I hope you will go back and give them a try. Although the album only has two actual pages, it has mats for 72 photos! To get your copy of the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland papers and embellishments, go to the FotoBella online scrapbooking store today.

Happy crafting,

Snowflake Scrapbook Layout

Hi There! It’s Lynda from Scrapbook with Lynda back again to share some fun projects with you. This month I’m working with a fun Christmas collection from Carta Bella called Home for Christmas.

Carta Bella, fotobella, scrapbook layout

It’s a fun collection with so many wonderful embellishments! So, it’s perfect to scrapbook any of your holiday photos. The colors in the collection are red, green, black and white, so classic holiday colors.

Carta Bella Snowflake Scrapbook Layout

The first scrapbook layout I’ll share with you is this snowflake themed one. I love this black and white snowflake scrapbook paper. It is so simple and stunning.

Carta Bella, fotobella, scrapbook layout

The first thing I did on this layout, was piece the snowflake scrapbook paper with the black and white striped one. I then added a strip of red paper on the upper half. I love the pops of color against the monochromatic background on this scrapbook layout.

Carta Bella, fotobella, scrapbook layout

Next, I added the photos. I used 2 photos, with different layouts. Then, I selected a shape from the Carta Bella die cut pack to be the scrapbook layout title. Just love it when I can find things in a collection that work great as the layout title. It makes scrapbooking so easy!

I selected this die cut, because the phase is surrounded by snowflakes, which fit the theme of my snowflake scrapbook layout. It’s popped up on a bit of foam, so it will standout.

Once the title was in place, I added the chipboard banner pieces which add a lot of color to my snowflake scrapbook layout.

My final touch was to layer a chipboard Christmas tree, and a couple stickers on this die cut banner.

Carta Bella, fotobella, scrapbook layout

Hope you enjoyed seeing this scrapbook layout. I’ll be back real soon with another fun project made with the Carta Bella Home for Christmas Collection. In the meantime, please check out my Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook pages to see other projects I’m creating.

Happy Scrapping!

Stamperia Alice in Wonderland Mini Album Tutorial - Part 3

Alice in Wonderland mini album, stamperia, fotobella

Hi crafty friends. It’s Kristine and I’m back today with part 3 of the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland mini album tutorial series.

If you’re new to this series, first check out the previous FotoBella blog posts. There are details on supplies needed to make the mini album and make the base pages. Then, you’ll create interactive elements for Page 1 front and how to start decorating with the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland papers. Next, Part 2 shows how to create the interactive elements and cut the decorative papers for Page 1 back.

In this segment, we will begin constructing the interactive elements and features for the front of Page 2. Then, we will be using the Stamperia Alice in Wonderland collection to decorate the pages. We will be using the 12 x 12 double sided papers, the backgrounds, and the collectables. For embellishments, we will be using the die cut assortment which are thick chipboard pieces.

Stamperia Mini Album Tutorial Videos 7 & 8

stamperia, alice in wonderland, fotobella, mini album

Video #7 in this series will teach you how to create an expandable pocket for the front of Page 2. Then, we will begin working on the inside pages of the Stamperia mini album and add some interactive flaps. This page design is very simple, but it will hold plenty of photos in the spread and in the expandable pocket!

In video #8, I will show you how to cut the decorative papers for each section of the mini album. There is a lot of paper piecing in this video so be patient. I love the look of the various decorative papers on a mini album page, so my style is to piece the papers around stationary photo mats. It takes time to cut and assemble, but the results are worth it!

We will come back to this page again in the final video to add more interactive elements to the expandable pocket. For now, however, we will leave it as is and move on to constructing and decorating the final page of the mini album. Stay tuned, and if you have any questions, please leave a comment on the video.

Happy crafting!

Part 2: Making a Mini Album Using Stamperia’s Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland Mini Album

Hi crafty friends. It’s Kristine again and I’m back today to share the second installment of the mini album series. If you’re not familiar with this series, it is a full video tutorial series teaching you how to make a mini album. In the videos, I make the album pages first and then use Stamperia’s Alice in Wonderland collection to decorate them. The videos are broken down into smaller segments so you can craft along a little at a time, or all in one day! For those of you who might have missed Part 1, you can access the blog post here. Also, there is an introduction post and video outlining the supplies I will use in the series. And, don’t forget to head over to the FotoBella online store to pick up all of your Alice in Wonderland papers and embellishments.

Recap of Part 1

Just to give a very brief recap of Part 1, we first constructed the base pages for the mini album. Then, we started constructing the interactive elements for Page 1 front. Once complete, we started using the Alice in Wonderland papers to decorate our album. At the end of the video series, Page 1 front is complete. Now, we are ready to move on to Page 1 back!

Mini Album Series Videos 5 & 6

In video #5, I will show you how to construct the interactive elements for the back of Page 1. We will be making a fun see-through pocket using vellum or acetate. There are several flaps that are interactive and will allow you to place plenty of photos into the mini album.

Next, in video #6, I will begin decorating the interactive elements on the back of Page 1. In keeping with the theme from Page 1 front, there will be fussy cut elements from the paper collection. Personally, I feel that fussy cutting is a fun way to embellish an album, yet keep the pages flat at the same time.

If you’re following along with the series, we now have one entire page set complete. We’re halfway done since there are only going to be two pages in the mini album! However, there are tons of interactive elements and places for photos stuffed into the pages! I hope you will join me in the next segment where we will construct interactive elements for Page 2 front, and then decorate using the Alice in Wonderland papers.

If you’re just tuning into the series now, welcome! Check out the FotoBella online store where you can pick up the Alice in Wonderland collection to make this album. Stay tuned for Part 3!

Happy crafting!
