Hi crafty friends! Jeanne here back with this fun handmade card that I created using the beautiful collection from Prima Marketing called “My Sweet”, which I absolutely love! Here is how I created this project for this week! Come see!

How I began with My Sweet Collection

This card measures 5x7, I began by cutting a piece of ivory colored card stock for the base. Then, chose which pattern paper from the My Sweet 12x12 paper pad I received from Fotobella to play with this month! I decided I wanted a spool to be the focal point of the card. I remembered that I have some laces/trims stored on some spool tags. So that made it easy but you can download something similar from Pinterest such as these.

I took the spool template and traced it onto the selected pattern paper. Once I cut it out after tracing it, I inked the edges using Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Then using some foam tape, I adhered it to the base. Now the fun begins which is to build up the rest of the card . So to start I picked out one of the super cute 3x4 journaling cards and ephemera from the My Sweet collection and inked up all of the edges of those as well.

Final steps

Once I adhered those, I added flowers, 2 pieces of the chipboard stickers “ I Bloom For You” sentiment and vintage woman. Also I added a couple of buttons which are a part of the My Sweet collection too, and I had a tiny wooden spool in my stash I put some white quilt thread on it and added it on top of the flowers. Lastly I added one of the Say It In Crystals. Onto the inside, I added a piece of white card stock to add your personal note and added the beautiful sentiment which is another ephemera.

Well I hope you all like what I created this week and got a little inspired by it. Thank you for reading my post and I hope you will come back and see the rest of the Fotobella design team share their crafty projects with you! See Ya in June!!

XOXO,

Jeanne
