Graphic 45 Blossom Tag

Hey crafty friends! Jeanne here today to share a large tag that I created using the Graphic 45 Blossom Collection from Fotobella. This kit has so much left even after already creating my previous projects. I also hadn’t used my doll stamps lately so thought this smaller Julie Nutting planner stamps would be great for this. Here is what I’ve come up with!

Creating this Graphic 45 Blossom Tag

I began by cutting a piece of scrap chipboard from my stash to 4 x 7.5 inches. I made it into a tag shape. After choosing the papers from the 8x8 paper pad included in this kit, I adhered the paper onto the chipboard using Helmar Acid Free Glue which is a favorite. Then using my brayer over the paper to spread the adhesive evenly.

I took a piece of card stock from the kit and made my own reinforce hole and adhered that onto the tag . Brought over the Graphic 45 Blossom ephemera pack, stickers, & embellishment pack and picked out what I would be using on my tag. I then adhered some Prima Market flowers that I felt matched very well. Then added a piece of white lace , ephemera and embellishments and adhered them.

Working with Julie Nutting Doll Planner Stamp

For my stamped doll, I put the stamp on my Tim Holtz stamping platform. I cut some white card stock from Brutus Monroe which is pretty thick, and used Brutus Monroe Raven Detailed Ink and stamped one of the Julie Nutting planner dolls. These are smaller than the average doll sizes, these measure 4 in. height. I used some Copic markers to color the skin, hair and shoes. Then, stamped the doll stamp onto one of the beautiful Graphic 45 floral papers then cut it out and adhered it with some foam dots onto my colored image. Many of you know this as paper piecing, which I love doing.

Completion

I finished this off by adhering my stamped image onto my completed tag . Finally picked out a couple colors from the fibers from the kit into the reinforced hole I had added at the beginning and that’s it!

I must say that I really enjoyed creating this large tag especially playing with my Julie Nutting Doll stamps. I am not very good at coloring but I do want to learn how to do shading, and blending. In the meantime I will keep paper piecing! I hope you are inspired with my project, and please run over to Fotobella.com to purchase a Graphic 45 Bundle or other great supplies! Till next time...

XOXO
