Happy national color day and almost happy Halloween ! I decided to combine the two holidays since they are only a week apart. When you are creating Halloween projects remember to make it fun- add more color. Try a new color combo. Halloween doesn’t have to use traditional colors like orange and black all the time. Today, i am sharing with you a fun stencil that i used from the simple stories say cheese Halloween collection. I used this stencil to make a 4x6 card and a 8x8 scrapbook page.
Place your stencil down on the paper and with your spatula smear the texture paste into and across the stencil so that the paste gets in all the groves. Then carefully lift up stencil to reveal design and set aside to dry.
After the paste on your design is dry , fussy cut it out.
Then on my prepared cardbase of orange cardstock i glue down it down on top.
I then distress the edges with my scissors and add pen detail around it to make it pop
lastly with a boy diecut and stickers from the collect i finish off the details of the card.
.
For the 8 x8 scrapbook page i do the same techniques Except on the scrapbook page i add more matting around the photo and accent with the stickers . I even customized the diecut of the girl by giving her a horn and black nose to mimick my daughters costume:)
bonus page- i went to a crop recently and i made a page of my oldest daughter from her birthday using the simple stories carpe diem collection i got last year from the fotobella.com warehouse box .
