Christmas Card Album

Several years ago I made a mini album to hold my Christmas cards.  I use the album every year and I love it but somehow it never holds all the Christmas cards I receive.  That gave me the idea to make a second one with the beautiful My Mind's Eye Vintage Christmas collection.  I've been working with this collection all month for Fotobella and honestly I was just looking for another excuse to use it again!

The first thing I did was go through all the paper and decide what would be the cover and the backgrounds for the inside pages.  I kept it simple and cut the 12"x12" paper into 6"x12" pages for the album.

The Cover

All of pages of pockets to tuck cards into and some of the pages have more than one pocket so that the cards can be layered on the pages and kept from falling out.

On this page, the Holly Paper and the brown Peace paper or both pockets.

When placing the embellishments, I was careful not allow them to block access to the pocket by either removing the sticky part of the sticker or only placing adhesive on part of it.

For some of the embellishments I hand cut shapes such as the holly leaves and ornaments seen on this page.

Here is a close up of a Christmas card tucked into the side pocket of this page.

And on this page, the side green brackets are also pockets.

I bound the album using my Zutter, Bind It All.  Tied some raffia and dangly embellishments on to the spiral rings and now its ready for it's first round of Christmas Greeting and Wishes!

The papers and embellishments are really awesome in this collection and practically does the work for you when putting a project together.  Hope this has inspired you to make your own album.

Hope you have a fabulous day!

Supplies Used:  My Mind's Eye Vintage Christmas Collection, Zutter Bind It All, Raffia, Brown Ink, Kiwi Lane templates, Baker's Twine.
