I started out with this beautiful scrapbook paper collection by Simple Stories Simple Vintage My Valentine 12x12 Collection Kit. It has a great thickness, and is a double sided paper with beautiful patterns on both sides.

I loved that they included a large mix of flowers, checks, and assorted other papers so that they could be used for other layouts besides just for Valentine's Day projects.

These papers came from the Simple Stories Simple Vintage My Valentine Collectors Essential Kit. This kit included everything you need to complete loads of projects because it includes more than just paper.

This kit includes papers, stickers, chipboard, and washi tape, and all at a great price..

I started my layout with this sheet from that Valentine paper collection.

Then I started adding my photos to the matching Valentines cardstock. This layout features my granddaughter Madison who loves to pose for the camera.

Here is a look at the matching Valentines Basic cardstock paper's that match this collection. They are double sided as well, and also have that wonderful thickness to them.

Next I added my second Valentines photo to that same photo mat.

I like adding two photos to one photo mat occasionally for a different look.

Then I started making my Valentines layout border.

This is the matching Valentines washi tape that I used in the process of making this border. When you purchase this washi tape separately it comes in a package of three, and all of them are gorgeous. FotoBella's online scrapbook store has a huge variety of washi tape for all of your crafting needs.

Next I added another strip of cardstock behind my photos, some matching chipboard, and a title matted in the matching Valentines cardstock. I also added a touch of bling just because I wanted it to be a girly looking layout.

Adding the title cut from the 12 x 12 sheets of pattern paper.

This is the matching Valentines chipboard that I used on my layout.

Today I am sharing with you my Bo Bunny Card Folio. The colors in this Sweet Clementine collection are bright and cheerful and will make lovely spring projects. Here is what I came up with:

As you can see I created a shaker card on the front cover surrounded by lovely flowers.

On the inside of the folio I used the die cut images in the collection to adorn my pages.

There are three pockets with Graphic 45 tags and each with a photo mount. I decorated the pockets with more die cut images from the beautiful collection.

On the back of the folio, I put a Graphic 45 policy envelope and inserted a photo mount and a book mark made from the paper collection.

How to Make a Mommy and Me Valentine Page

Today I will show you how to make a Valentine "Mommy and Me" scrapbook page. The supplies for this cute layout came from the Fotobella Online Scrapbook Store. They are a great source for all of your scrapbooking and crafting needs.

Mommy and Me /FotoBella
My Heart Mommy and Me Layout

To start my layout off I chose paper from Simple Stories Vintage My Valentine Simple Basics Kit. A wonderful assortment of basic colors of double sided pattern papers. These papers also have a nice thick feel to them so you don't have worry about your glue bleeding through them, or them tearing easily.

My Valentine Basics Simple Stories/ FotoBella
Double sided and a great thickness!

To start off I cut my pattern paper down an inch on two sides. Next I mounted the pattern paper onto a sheet of 12 x 12 white cardstock, and then next I glued down the red lace doily.

Simple Stories Basics/ FotoBella
The colors in the combo are great!

In step two I added my matted photo, and my embellishments on the left of the photo. If you look at the layout embellishments you will see they are placed in groups of three's. Using odd numbers of design elements are always more pleasing to the eye than even numbers are. So when you think about placing your embellishments, think about groupings of 1, 3, 5, etc., on your layouts for the most eye appeal.

My Valentine Simple Stories / FotoBella
This layout was a blast to make.

For most of the embellishments on this page I used the Simple Stories Vintage My Valentine Bits and Pieces. I loved that they came already cut out and ready to use.

My Valentine Simple Stories Bits, and Pieces/FotoBella
Lot's of fun items in this package.

The next photo shows the embellishment grouping made for the right hand side of the photo. Under some of my embellishments I have used pop dots to raise them off of the page. This gives your layout movement, and depth.

Sequita and Matthew in their Mommy and Me pose.

To make my page title I used paper from Simple Stories Vintage My Valentine Collectors Essential Kit. This kit includes pattern paper, chipboard, a sticker sheet, and washi tape, all in matching colors and double sided paper. This title also includes flowers from the Simple Stories Vintage My Valentine Bits and Pieces package.

My Valentine Collectors Kit / FotoBella
This kit is sold at a great price considering everything that is included in it.

This title cutout fits my layout's theme perfectly since they each love each other so much.

My Valentine Bits and Pieces Simple Stories/ FotoBella
This title card was cut from a sheet of project life style sheets in the kit.

Here is a close up of what my embellishment grouping looked likes on the top right of my layout. I used the opposite side of the background paper and more of the "Bits and Pieces" cutouts. I also sewed a button on top in place of just a photo of a button.

My Valentine Bits and Pieces Simple Stories/ FotoBella
Buttons are super easy to sew on your layouts, be sure and give it a try.

In the photo below you can see the embellishment grouping on the bottom left hand side. Here again you can see some of the embellishments are lifted using the pop dots. I love the look that it gives your layouts.

My Valentine Simple Stories / FotoBella
This is a page anyone can make so don't be afraid to try these techniques.

Using the needle and thread I sewed on some sequins to finish off the this Valentine page.

Bright Pattern Paper Page + VDay Card using the G45 Fashion Forward Collection

I want is all graphic 45 bundle excluding the 8x 8 paper pad

Hi all, Jennifer Taylor here. Today I am stopping by to share a fun 12 x 12 page and a card I made using the graphic 45 Fashion Forward Collection. The page I made is of my oldest daughter when she was 13 and I love this picture of her . She has the best smile:)
To start my page I loved the purple shirt my daughter was wearing in the picture and that inspired the pattern papers I chose. For the base, I used the turquoise b side from the paper pad below. I then layered strips of the pink and blue b side pattern paper.

12 x 12 scrapbook page

Next I layered 2 journaling cards behind the photo. I then cut out the saying strips and added those to the left of the picture along with the smile and circle stickers.

Close-up

To make this cluster above, I took a fancy diecut from the diecut pack and cut it in half. I then layered in under the edge of the photo adding a circle sticker then a chipboard circle on top. Finishing it off with a Prima flower from my stash And distressing the edges with my finger nail. To add some white touches to my page I used a white gel pen to trace the edges of my papers and stickers then used white ink to make the splatters.

For my A2 Valentine’ s day card I used the ephemera card to cover my card base that I made from black patter. I cut the sentiment off the bottom of the card and pop dotted it to fit in on to the A2 size card as the ephemera card was slightly longer than my card base. I then distressed the edges and added flowers from my stash and layered two small diecuts into the corner above the sentiment.

12 x 12 Scrapbook Page using Graphic 45 Fashion Forward by Jen Taylor

Hi all. I am stopping by today to share my scrapbook page of my younger daughter when she was in preschool at my mom’s day tea . I made it using this bold and beautiful collection that celebrates every month of the year called Fashion Forward from Graphic 45.

Here is a picture of the collection I got to work with this month.

12 x 12 scrapbook page

For this scrapbook page I started my base layer with the backside of the July cutapart sheet, it has such a pretty pink, purple, and green floral pattern that matched my daughters hat. (that was a hat she made for my mom’s day tea attire that she decided to model for me- she did look cuter in it then me though) Then, I cut a piece of white cardstock from my stash slightly smaller to layer on top. I then spilled something on my white cardstock. oops! so I cut another white sheet smaller to double layer the white and cover my mistake. (my best pages are usually the ones I creatively covered a mistake )

Next, I cut out the may and you are amazing pieces from a cut apart sheet and added them to the page. I then grabbed the awesome diecut pack and cut and used different bits to layer under and around her picture including the layered butterfly. Finishing the scrapbook page with the date stamped, black pen border and ink splashes.
