Valentine's for your Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day FotoBella Fans!  Apryl, design team member joining you today!  With three kids in school that means I needed to get ALOT of Valentine's ready for their school parties!  Eighty to be exact.  Oh my.  So, naturally I turned to my faithful Silhouette Cameo to be the crafty hero.

The kids and I found this cute file here:  https://www.silhouettedesignstore.com/view-shape/54354.  To my surprise it was a Print and Cut File, yay!  But, to let the kids get their hands in the mix, I also let them cut some of the shapes out with scissors.  I mean, that's part of the fun and adds to the handmade charm. We picked up some fun holiday pencils at the dollar store and  got to work assembling these beauties.  With the help of American Crafts adhesive bundle, we had it done in no time.

The kids love them, and the best part is they get to share a unique Valentine with their friends!  Hope you have a fabulous and creative day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Remember Valentine's Day when you were in grade school?
We usually made a Valentine "mailbox" in Art class, then on Valentine's Day, our classmates would drop a Valentine into it!  It was always so much fun to open our Valentines, and the day was made sweeter if candy hearts were inside the envelopes!

As card makers, we never outgrew the joy that we first experienced back then, and most of us are sending Valentines to our friends and loved ones to this day!  The FotoBella Design Team is no exception! We exchanged Valentines this year and today are sharing them with YOU!

Go Red for Women Art Journal Page

Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association's national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. Drea with the Design Team, sharing my art journal page created with some goodies from FotoBella.com in honor of this day.

I started by masking a piece of lace cut into a heart with Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain. Then I stamped along the heart with Prima Marketing's Garden Fable Stamp using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink, colored with Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain. The title was made with some older Bo Bunny stickers, with a coat of red Stickles on "red".

I also applied red Stickles to the butterflies, stamped with Bo Bunny's Flutter Stamp.

Prima Marketing's Princess Zara Stamp was embossed with Ranger's Rainbow Sparkle Embossing Powder,  and inked with Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink onto heavy white cardstock. Her skin was colored with Distress Spray Stains (Antique Linen, Wild Honey, and just a tad of Vintage Photo). Then I used Candied Apple Distress Spray Stain, Brushed Pewter Distress Spray Stain, Candied Apple Distress Ink, Black Soot Distress Ink, and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink to color her in with Prima Marketing's Watercolor Brush Pen Set. Finally, I used red Stickles again to add some sparkle to the flower centers.
