Bo Bunny Secret Garden Sketch Layout

Drea here with a layout that I scrapped using the gorgeous Bo Bunny Secret Garden Collection from FotoBella! I love this photo of my aunts, and the colors, papers, and embellies really tie the whole page together!

My design inspiration came from the July Bo Bunny Sketch.

I started by stamping a border with two different doily stamps from the Bo Bunny Stitches Stamp, using Picket Fence Distress Ink onto blue cardstock. Then I punched around the edges of the back of the "Greenhouse" paper, and spritzed on some purple and blue sprays. I also used the Stitches stamp to stamp stitching around the paper edges, including the butterfly and floral paper that I got from the Ephemera. All of the butterflies were layered and stamped using the Bo Bunny Flutter Stamp onto white cardstock colored with Distress Inks (Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, and Seedless Preserves).

For the titlework I used the sparkly Layered Chipboard "Wonderful" embellishment, and spelled "MEMORIES" with the alpha stickers that come in the 12 X 12 Paper Collection Pack.

I also used the Be Happy banner from the Layered Chipboard along the left side of my main photo. The floral strips are stickers that also come from the paper pack, and I placed them onto punched paper.

From the Chipboard, I used the light purple flourish and covered it with a coat of Tim Holtz Distress Collage Medium Crazing. After it dried, I colored it with 3 different permanent inks to highlight the crackles.

I used flowers from my own stash that I've had for awhile now, and added  Brads to the centers. Even though I didn't use "real" stitching on this page, I did stitch the Buttons.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

Basic Grey Spice Market Layout

Drea here sharing a layout I made using Basic Grey's Spice Market I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella!

I started by coloring the background with Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals (Sassy Sapphire) onto white cardstock, and used Bo Bunny Gesso and white paint for the clouds. The design and colors are based on this month's case file #205 at CSI, and is what inspired my clouds. The True Happiness die came from the Spice Market Die-Cut Cardstock and Transparency Forms.

I also used the black transparency from that pack under the yellow half rosette that I made, placing it under a straw that I covered with Spice Market paper.

For the half rosette centers and under the True Happiness die, I added My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio 2 Enamel Dots. The edges were punched and colored with Worn Lipstick and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. Then I used Photoshop to add my journaling to the center banner piece.

The chipboard alphas were covered with Waterfall Stickles for some sparkle!

I did some machine stitching around all of my paper pieces, after distressing them with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser. Then I added a strip of leaves to the top right and bottom left of the page from the stickers that come with the paper collection. From the Waterfall Theme Pack I used the die that's under the bottom photo, and the white flowers on top. Then I added the You & Me Chipboard piece, inking the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.

Thanks for looking, and be sure to check out what's new at FotoBella

Fourth of July Pinwheels

Happy Fourth of July FotoBella Fans!  It's Apryl with you today to share a quick and fun patriotic project using We R Memory Keepers Pinwheel Punch Board. It's a great way to come up with some fun decor in a snap.  The punch board is really easy to use.  Cut your paper in a square anywhere from 3" to 12", punch the corners with the punch in the top right hand corner of the board.  Then you line up your paper according to the size guides so that you can cut the slits that allow you to fold over the pinwheel pieces.  The secure the pinwheel, use a brad in the center.

The pinwheels can be attached to a stick and spinner also made by We R Memory Keepers

I attached my to an adhesive foam board so that I can use it as a back drop.

The paper I used is from my scrap stash.  Some of the brand paper is Doodlebug, Simple Stories and My Mind's Eye Necessities paper pack.  Be sure to visit Fotobella.com for some shopping this weekend so you don't miss out on the 4th of July 20% off sale!

Have a safe and fun holiday!

Bits Of Bundles 2 Pager

Get creative with your old bits and pieces from previous FotoBella Bundles, and combine different manufacturers and collections in a fun and eclectic way, like I did on this 2 pager.

I started by making the bricks with my Prima Brick Stencil and Clear Gesso applied onto black cardstock. Once dry, I applied two coats of Fired Brick Distress Stain, and finished them with a coat of Ranger's Brick Antiquities Embossing Powder.

The wood scraps are from the Kaisercraft Basecoat 12 X 12 Collection: the ribbon, notebook paper, and button are from Bo Bunny's Pop Quiz I Want It All bundle; and the chalk embellies are from My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio 2 Tags, Sticker Labels, Sticker Icons, 12 X 12 Chipboard Elements, and Decorative Alphabet, which I used to spell STOP, and Sleigh Bells Ring I Want It All Bundle.

To make the banner, I used Chalk Washi Tape and outlined the pieces with a white puffy pen, before adding the alpha stickers that come in the Sleigh Bells Ring Bundle to spell JERKY. I used the same pen to outline the chalk paper behind the photo of my husband.

        And for my journaling!

I took the antlers from My Mind's Eye Sleigh Bells Ring Diecuts, and covered it with a coat of Tim Holtz' Distress Collage Medium Crazing. Once dry, I went over it with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink  to pick up the texture, adding a Decorative Brad to the center, along with the two I strung the banner with.

All of the wood pieces were distressed with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser, and machine stitched along the edges. I touched the edges of the pocket watch sticker with Platinum Inka-Gold, and added a small pewter brad to the hands.

I also used Platinum Inka-Gold around the stars, after giving them a spritz of Antique Linen Distress Spray.

So take out your old bundles and scraps from FotoBella, and don't be afraid to mix things up!
