Bo Bunny "Sleigh Ride" Christmas Pocket Letter

Happy Thanksgiving!
from all of us here at FotoBella.com

As paper crafters, we love to make handmade cards for the Holidays,  including our Christmas Cards. And inside those cards, we include a Christmas letter.  But here's an idea...what if we combined the two? This is ReNae with the FotoBella Design Team and I wondered, Instead of making a separate card and letter,
What if we sent out Christmas Pocket Letters this year?

Pocket Letters are "all the rage" right now!  The Pocket Letter trend began early this year by designer Janette Lane. (see Janette's video here)   Using a 9-Pocket page protector, and pretty patterned papers along with some little goodies, you can create your own Christmas Pocket Letter!

Today I'll show you how I put together this delightful pocket letter using Bo Bunny's "Sleigh Ride" I want it all Bundle" by FotoBella.  You will LOVE all the amazing paper, buttons, brads, ribbons and other embellishments included in the Sleigh Ride Bundle!

To make a Pocket Letter like mine follow these simple steps:

From the Patterned Paper, select the images you want for your pockets.  I used the ones pictured below.  Cut 9 rectangles at 2.5 x 3.5 inches. (You will need to cut the journaling cards down 1/4 inch on all sides to get the proper measurement)
I also used paper from the "Noteworthy" pack.  There are lots of cute images from which to choose. (Note:  If you wish to decorate the back of the pocket letter like I did, cut 18 rectangles)
  Cut 9 rectangles at 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
(You will need to cut the journaling cards down 1/4 inch on all sides
to get the proper measurement)
Round the corners of the cards using a corner chomper.
Slide your cards into a 9-pocket clear plastic pocket page.
(These are available almost anywhere, including dollar stores and office supply stores.)
Arrange your cards on the front of the pocket page
as desired
Decorate the back of the pocket letter.
For the tiny letter insert, score one of the 6 x 3" papers at 2" and 4".
You will find this size in the Ephemera pack.
Trim one end of the rectangle into a point to create your tiny letter.
Write a short note to the recipient, and use a paperclip for the closure
To make embellishments, make your selection from the Ephemera Pack,
Alpha stickers and Brads,
And the large Sticker sheet all make great embellishments!
Use scraps from your stash to make embellishments
Here I made decorative clips using items from the Bundle!
The clip fits nicely inside one of the pockets!
Here I created a little banner and adhered it to the outside of the pocket letter sleeve.
I added a sticker to the outside of this pocket.  Cute!
Using the items in your bundle, continue decorating each pocket as desired.
Decorate both the inside and outside of the pockets!
Add a little wash tape to the side, tie a bow using the ribbons (included in the Bundle)
and you are finished!

You're ready to fold it up and mail it!

You can always substitute photos for patterned paper, your recipient would love that!

Here are close-ups of the individual pockets.
With so many beautiful embellishments in the
I had lots of options for decorating them!

Have you started counting down to Christmas? I have!
This is Jeri, and I love being on the FotoBella Design Team, because we get to see all of the festive holiday products in advance. This sure helps get in the holiday mood!

If you have seen my previous posts using this incredible Juniper Berry I Want It All Bundle from Basic Grey, you can now see how versatile it really is.

This is the second custom gift box I have made with this bundle, and both are completely different, but equally adorable!

You can see the other gift box here

These custom boxes are so easy to make. All you need is a box, some adhesive and a few items from your bundle.

I added a metallic bow and some holly and pinecone to the top of the box.

What do you think? Do you have a love for custom packaging as well?
I would love to see what you create!

Scrapbook Your Holiday Cards with BoBunny Dear Santa

Welcome to the Holiday Season 2015!  Christmas is right around the corner, and what does that mean?  Christmas shopping, holiday cards, time with friends, family and holiday paper crafting!!!!  Bo Bunny's Dear Santa Collection from FotoBella is a great way to preserve those memories you create during the holidays and make some fabulous Christmas projects.

Every year, I send out Christmas cards with family photos and I keep one from each year so that I can scrapbook them.  I'm sharing this layout today of our family Christmas card from 2010.

I wanted the card to be the focal point of the page, and used a variety of papers to layer behind it to pick up the colors from the card.

I chose the dear, arrow and holly berries from the Bo Bunny Dear Santa ephemera pack for embellishing.

I added a cute border along the bottom of the card that comes in the I Want It All bundle.  This layout is really very simple in design and only takes a short time to make.

Visit FotoBella.com and get your Dear Santa I Want It All bundle right away!  You need it this bundle to get your Christmas craft on!  Hurry, these bundles sell out quick!  I've missed out on a few myself, so go, go go!

Have a fabulous day!

Basic Grey Juniper Berry Thank You Card

Hello everyone! Jeri here from the FotoBella Design Team. I know it's not Thanksgiving just yet, but I am fully in the Christmas mode.

Especially since I received this unique new Juniper Berry I Want It All Bundle by Basic Grey from FotoBella. The colors are great and it has a lot of versatile prints, they aren't all strictly Christmas themed.

For this Thank You Card I combined a couple techniques. My favorite, being the ragged edges, which I create simply by using water and tearing the paper.
I used Prima Marketing Color Bloom Spray in Frost to add some speckles on the card base.

I used the Ranger Liquid Pearls in Brass to write 'Thank You' on this conversation bubble sticker. I love the raised metallic effect!
I used some Ranger Stickles Glitter to trace some of the image on the sticker as well.
I layered this on top of a crumpled cut out and a frayed piece of burlap.

On the reverse side of the Red Paper was this awesome Wood print. Perfect for a neutral note-side of the card. I cut this framed image from the Journal Card Sheet, ripped the edges, crumpled it and inked it. I finished it off with some Stickles Glitter detail on the print.
I then layered that on top of a cut piece or corrugate I had on hand. I inked the edges of this with Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany Distress Ink

I hope this inspires you to get crafty today!
