MME Chalk Studio 2-We are Family Layout

Hello Jessica here with you today to share a layout I created using MME Chalk Studio 2 bundle.

I loved the big banner on the together paper.  So I knew I wanted to use it some how.  Once I cut out the banner the layout came together pretty quickly.  I have enjoyed working with this line.  It has been a lot of fun.  For the tag, I just folded over a piece of the washi tape to create a 'ribbon' effect.

MME Chalk Studio 2 Cards

Thanks for stopping by today.  I wanted to share with you two cards that I created using the My Mine's Eye Chalk Studio 2 bundle.

I started with the Garden Sheet of paper.  I loved the idea of the chalk side being on the inside of the card in order to have a place to write a note.  I love the those big flowers in either corner.

For the rest of the cards I used all the leftovers from my other layouts to create.  Each card is 5x5 in size.  The decorative tags are great for creating cards.  They have several great options for creating cards.

Pop Quiz Graduation Card

Get an early start on graduation cards, like the one I made here using Bo Bunny's Pop Quiz I want it all bundle.

The notebook paper was masked with a stencil and some Distress Inks (Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot, and Peacock Feathers). I also used Peacock Feathers to ink around the graduation cap, which comes in the Noteworthy package, and popped it up for some dimension. Besides the chipboard star on the top, the rest were stamped with the stamps that come in the Ephemera package. It's like a little package of treasure, and is where I found the red bling star and blue circle bling on the banner. I even used the paper clip that came with some ribbon. Instead of ribbon though, I  decided to use some colored rafia that I have to thread through the square button. It reminds me of a tassel. I finished it up with some stickers (some of the banner pieces and top piece under the paper clip).

Thanks for your visit, and be sure to stop by FotoBella!

Capture Card Tutorial

Hello everyone! I have a fun little Capture Card Tutorial for you! My favorite thing in this great bundle are the Scrabble-Type Chipboard Stickers! So fun!

Supplies:
Journal Card
Love This Sheet
Our Story Sheet
Today Sheet
Die Cut Shape
Brown Ink

Tools:
Double Sided Tape
Paper Cutter
Corner Rounder

Find this cute little Journal Card and round the edges with either a Corner Rounder or Scissors

With Milled Lavender Distress Ink, apply it around the edges of the Journal Card.
If you do not have a foam pad to use with your distress ink, you can use a q-tip.

With Dried Marigold Distress Ink, apply this around the teal print on the card. As in photo.

Use some Brown Ink and touch all of the edges of the card, this will ‘frame’ it more.
With the Biscotti Shimmer Mist, spray the Journal Card. It is a very fine, soft shimmer. (hard to see in photo). But I just love how it looks!

Cut a Conversation Bubble from the Our Story Sheet. Add a drop of water to a q-tip, and then dab it in the Dried Marigold Distress Ink. Apply this to the bubble in a circular motion. The water will soften the paper and peel some of the fibers up. Creating a worn look.
Ink around the bubble with Brown ink slightly.

Cut a 6.75” x 4.75” piece from the Love This Sheet.
Fold this in half.
On the front of the Card, apply some Milled Lavender Distress Ink on the corners

Cut a strip 4.75” x 0.75” from the Today Sheet. Make sure this will fit across the front of the card.
Ink all edges of the strip with Brown Ink.

Find the Telephone Die Cut Shape and the H and I Chipboard Stickers.
With the Brown Ink, ink the edges of these items slightly.

With double sided tape, secure the strip, the Journal Card, the Conversation Bubble and the Telephone to the front of the card. Peel the backs off the Chipboard Stickers and stick them on top of the Conversation Bubble.
You now have a finished Capture Card!

Easter Bunny Time

It's almost time for the Easter Bunny!  The Bo Bunny Baby Bump Collection is made up of beautiful pastels that work well with Easter photos.

I made the Easter Eggs with my Cameo and SVG's Poplar Street Kit.  The photo mat borders also came in the kit.

I used the banners, tags and balloon from the Noteworthy pack and sticker sheet.

Add a little bling and twine for the perfect touch.  I love this Easter Bunny photo of my kiddos and I'm excited to take them this year and so are they!  There will be three cuties this time around.  As you can see, The Baby Bump bundle is not just for baby photos so get yours today!

Have a Happy Easter!

Pop Quiz School Layout

Bo Bunny's Pop Quiz I want it all bundle couldn't be more perfect for all of your school projects, from kindergarten through college! It can be fun and young, with cute embellishments, but also more sophisticated and older depending on your needs.  For this page I wanted to capture my son's younger elementary days using an old Page Maps sketch from December 2006.

I started with the chalkboard paper, which I inked with a little white ink to look like chalk. I stamped the date on the tag, where I stuck my favorite photo of him from that day, and added the ribbons that come in the ephemera package. Of course I had to add a little stitching, which I did with my sewing machine using a zig zag stitch in red and black.

Under the tag I used the Washi Tape along the bottom photo. I finished it off with the buttons and all of the the Chipboard  pieces (ruler, pencil, paperclip, and 2nd grade), which can all be found @ FotoBella!

Bo Bunny Lil Monster Card

Hello Jessica here with you today to share a quick card I did using the  Bo Bunny Lil' Monster bundle.  I found this card over the weekend when I was attempting to clean up my scrap area this weekend some.  I had forgotten created it a couple of weeks ago.  That's what happens when your scrap area is in desperate need of cleaning.

I really just loved those monsters, they are too cute.  I knew when I saw the line I would have to use as many as I could.  What is the other awesome thing about this layout you ask?  It is made completely of leftovers from my other layouts.  Love when I can use up leftovers. Again, I took a couple of extra minutes to create an area on the inside of the card to write something.

MME Chalk Studio 2-Best Friends

Hello and Welcome.  I hope everyone is having a great day.  Today I am sharing a layout I created of my girls cuddle up on the bed together.  The were waiting on their dad to get home from work and I told them they could lay in bed quietly together and watch a little on the Ipad.  I came in to check on them I just had to snap a couple of pictures.  I love when they are quiet and loving like this.

I used the MME Chalk Studio 2 I want it all bundle to create this layout..  This is a really fun line to work with.  It as some great embellishments to work with.  I especially love the photo frames and tags!  I am addicted to doilies and I have to say they help soften up that black chalk paper a bit.  I am really loving the combination of the two.

Pop Quiz Report Card Holder

Bo Bunny's Pop Quiz I want it all bundle is so perfect for all of your academic needs!! I came up with a report card holder to hold all of my son's 6th grade report cards from this year. I can't believe in just a few months he'll be graduating from elementary school and going into middle school. But with this bundle I'll definitely be prepared, at least creatively.

      1. Cut the Study hall striped paper at 6.5" X 5". Use the Tim Holtz paper distresser around all of the edges.

2. Glue striped paper onto the red library paper and cut around the edges with a zig zag decorative scissor. Finish the edges with Distress Ink (black soot).

3. The black paper that comes in the ephemera package was just the right size for the back of the pocket. I just had to trim about an 1" and 1/2" from the end, and then used the paper distresser on all of the edges. Put aside until the next step.

4. Now get your striped piece and hand stitch a line 1/4" from the top, using black embroidery thread. Stitch another line 1" away from the first one.

5. Before you do any more stitching, glue just the ends of the bottom and 2 sides onto the black distresssed paper, making sure to leave the top open for the pocket. Now you can stitch 1/4 " away on the bottom and sides.

6. Right under the second stitched line from the top I applied the ruler and pencil that comes in the layered chipboard. Under that I pulled some of the gingham ribbon, that also comes in the ephemera package, through the A+ button. The top progress report also comes in the layered chipboard, and I backed it with the hallpass paper, taking the same decorative scissors to the edges to make the zig zag border. Then I added my son's name with a red Sharpie. The final step is to add those report cards to the pocket.
