CowgirlBootVase-Card-LilyPencils

After I saw my niece’s beautiful photo, I really thought this set Must have a layout! So, I got to creating and this is what I came up with!

Beautiful-You-Layout-by-KimberlyRae

To create my layout I started out with Bo Bunny ‘Prairie Chic’ Collection Bundle paper. Then, I inked up the blue rose envelope and adhered the sides together and set aside.

Then, I cut with my Silhouette Cameo a SVG Doily file from SVGcuts ‘Doilies‘ SVG Kit from one of the wood-grain papers and adhered the doily and the black and white photo on top.

I placed a couple of smaller color photos inside the envelope and cut out ‘Follow your dreams’ tag, from the kit and stuck those in there, too.

Using the large wood-grain alpha and small block pink alpha, I made a tag with her name and placed cardstock and chipboard star stickers in an array! Then, I used the chipboard blue swirl, petals and brads for texture. The Jewels and layered chipboard sticker with a heart added a lil bling!

National Mom & Pop Business Day!!

I am so proud and happy to be a "Mom & Pop" business owner!

I introduced FotoBella to the public as an online store after visiting distant relatives in Italy. I had so many wonderful memories of my visit and many great stories of my family history that I wanted to preserve. I had a vision of both elegant books of our family history and whimsical scrapbooks of the fun times we had as a family. I spent a lot of time finding tools and supplies to create my vision. I have always adored pretty paper and embellishments.

I fall in love with full collection lines of scrapbook brands, and always "Want It All". And from this, I decided to offer my customers the "FotoBella I Want It All" bundles membership. Each month, FotoBella I Want It ALL! members get all available paper in a collections, plus the coordinating embellishments from that line at a special discount. These memberships provide a monthly paper crafting / scrapbooking kit to design multiple projects, including scrapbook layouts, cards, tags, and more. And, each month the FotoBella design team posts project designs, including step by step instructions for the current month's I Want It All bundle . You don't have to be a member to enjoy our bundles, but members do get an exclusive discount.

Glitz Hello Friend Encouragement Card Tutorial

Never Give Up Card

Hey There!  It's Kim from the Fotobella Design Team. I have been working with the Hello Friend collection double page layout kit by Glitz Designs from Fotobella.com.   I was amazed at how much product is included with the kit!  I was able to complete a double page layout & still plenty of stuff left over.  Each kit includes: beautifully printed double-sided papers from the collection, layered stickers, title stickers, paper layers, peek-a-boos, paper garland & washi tape (my favorite).
One of my freinds was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  I wanted to make a quick card for her to let her know that I will be here to support her through her treatment and recovery but also give her a few words of encouragemnt during this difficult time.  The beautiful shades of pink and coral were perfect!

To complete the card, you will need to purchase the kit from Fotobella.com.
1. Cut a 4'" x 8" piece of kraft cardstock and folded it in half for the card base
2. Cut a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of the coral dot paper and layered it onto my card front
3. Cut a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of the white heart paper
4. Adhere the circle Peek-a-Boo on top of the white heart paper
(tip: use tiny glue dots behind the printed portion to avoid adhesive showing through)
5. Wrap taupe ribbon around the white heart paper & circle Peek-a-Boo
6. Adhere to the center of your card front with pop dots or dimentional tape
7. Adhere "Never Give Up" title sticker in the lower right hand corner of the card
8. Adhere Butterfly layered sticker to the very center of the card with dimensional tape or pop dots
9. Add button, gem & baker's twine to the upper left hand corner of your card, if desired
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Bo Bunny's Isabella Collection

For Fotobella this month, I am designing with Bo Bunny's Isabella Collection.  It is a beautiful collection.  I absolutely love the Pink and Gray color scheme.  Although the collection is feminine in design, I also found it to be very festive, and perfect for capturing my kid's birthday celebration moment with each other.

There are several themes and the sibling theme found in this collection worked perfectly for this layout.

I thought this sentiment was a must have!  It added the perfect "brotherly" touch in a primarily feminine  color themed layout ;)

Visit Fotobella and get this beautiful collection for yourself.

Have a fabulous day!

National Organize Your Home Office Day

What a great idea for a National Day!!
I know most of us have home offices, and boy can they start to get a little crowded and overloaded.

Here are some amazing ideas of how to get organized:

I love this idea! Not only are you reusing items that just would end up in a landfill, but they are perfect for drawers and you can completely customize them!!

Adding shelving above your desk creates more storage, and might just clear up your floor area so you have more room to work!

This is super creative!! Large binder clips can hold alot! Notes, design inspiration, due date reminders, or anything you want! Grab some spray paint or washi tape and create a whole new look!

I am a big fan of reusing items. I love the way these look!! Paint the inside of glass salsa jars, coffee drink bottles, or even paint the outside of soup cans. They hold so much stuff, and its a great way to separate and organize items that get lost in those junk drawers!

If you want to keep things more uniform and hidden, grab some of these boxes. You can find them in many stores, and just a few folds and you have a variety of storage boxes. I love that they come with front labels too!

Have fun organizing your home office.
Come back and share your stories!

Bo Bunny Prairie Chic-Boot Vase with Lily Pencils!

Happy Spring, Everyone!
I’m really excited to share this month’s FotoBella‘s DT project with you. This month, I used
Bo Bunny ‘Prairie Chic’ Collection Bundle and this is what I came up with!

Ye’sir! I made a Boot Vase, a card and a half-dozen pink lily flower pencils-all for my niece’s birthday!
CowgirlBootVase-Card-LilyPencils

From the Bo Bunny ‘Prairie Chic’ Collection Bundle I used the papers, jewels, cardstock stickers, petals, chipboard stickers, noteworthy and brads.

Here’s a Video of Everything you will get in your Bundle!

Boot Vase
CowgirlBootVase

To create my denim cowgirl Boot I used SVGCuts ‘Happy Trails’ SVG Collection, cut all the pieces inside the boot folder with my Silhouette Cameo.

Once Cut out you’ll want to organize pieces 1-9 and start adhering them together starting with #1 and so forth around and close up the top part of the boot.

For the Toe of the boot just adhere together the three pieces, pop-out to form the toe and glue to the top part of the boot. I also cut out the pieces for the Sole of the boot and panels.

The last photo show the bottom of the sole and the side panels, these all get adhere with a tacky glue. All of these ‘denim’ boot pieces got inked up with ‘Faded Blue Jeans’ Tim Holtz distress ink.

Congratulations! You’re ‘Boot Vase’ is Finished and ready for a half-dozen Lily Pencils!

Paper Lily Pencils
BootFrontSIDE BootzBackSIDE
First, you will want to open your Silhouette Studio Designer Edition [SSDE] software and from your SVGCuts ’3D Flowers’ Collection SVG kit locate the ‘Daffodil’ flower file.

Then, I edited the flower part by using the ‘draw an elipse’ tool, draw a circle right in the center covering some of the ‘leaf’ part.

Next, select the circle and the flower part and click on ‘object’, ‘modify’, ‘subtract’! All the flower pieces should be apart now.

To create the ‘slit’ at the base of each flower petal [you only have to do this to ONE of the petals and discard the other five petals] click on the ‘draw a line’ tool and make a line about 3/4″ from the bottom center of the petal.

Now, group and duplicate the petal for six-petals.

You are now ready to watch the Video below which will show you each step to shape and compete your bouquet!

"Sisters" Card & Fast n' Easy Tag Album

Hello Everyone!  Today I am sharing a two of my latest projects for Fotobella, using Bo Bunny's Isabella Collection.  This is such a beautiful collection, I just LOVE it.

There are several theme's to choose from but I went with the Sister's theme for this card.  What I love is the sentiment, which can really be used for any occasion.

I dressed up the card with the Chipboard scroll sticker, cut out butterflies and added some bling!  All found in the Bo Bunny Isabella I Want It All Bundle.

I also put together a quick n' easy tag album.  I used wallet sized photos and the Bo Bunny Isabella Style Sheet.  The beauty of this project is all the cutouts used form the Style sheet are the same size and the wallet size photos fit perfectly.

For the cover, I layered several flowers from the collection and fastened them with a brad.

Using an Xacto, I trimmed around the butterfly design and tucked the photo behind it.

This page is for journaling, I'm going to let my daughter do that since this about her and her best friend!

I tied the pages together with a sheer ribbon and viola!  A cute little tag album in no time at all!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous day!

Glitz Hello Friend Double Page Layout

BEST FRIENDS

Hey There!  It's Kim from the Fotobella Design Team. I have been working on a very special project that I wanted to share with all of you.  It is a tribute page for four extraordinary ladies in my life, my best friends. These amazing women have touched me deeply at different points in my life but they have left a lasting impression on my heart.  They have stood by me through thick and thin, through some of the toughest times in my life.  They give of themselves freely and expect nothing in return.  They know the true meaning of friendship.  Some of them live close. Some live far.  One even lives in a different country.  But no matter how far apart we live or how long it's been since our last conversation, we can pick up phone and never miss a beat.

I just love the Hello Friend collection double page layout kit by Glitz Designs from Fotobella.com.  It was perfect for the project I had planned.  The kit comes with beautifully printed double-sided papers from the collection, layered stickers, title stickers, paper layers, peek-a-boos, paper garland & washi tape (my favorite).  There is so much in this kit, you will be able to complete this double page layout and still have tons of project left over.

To complete the layout, you will need to purchase the kit from Fotobella.com.  I added a few sheets of cardstock (coral & teal blue), some flowers, ribbon, twine, elastic, buttons, rhinestone gems & pearl gems.  I also used the Bracket Tab Punch and the Circle Tab Punch by We R Memory Keepers (also available at Fotobella.com).  I am simply addicted to these!

Just a quick tip, think outside of the box when it comes to your supplies & embellishments.  Listed below are a few techniques I used on this layout.

On the left hand page, I cut down a portion off the title sticker to fit my needs (I removed the words "mine").  I cut apart some the peek-a-boos and used them as mats (coral chevron behind title & also white print behind letters) and also as a border along the bottom third of both pages (white print cut into 3/4" strips and then laid end-to-end).  I used elastic dyed with a mist as a border and I cut out the letters from a paper layers page to form the word BEST.

On the right hand page, I formed the background borders by using (l to r): 1. paper strips cut from a paper layer (birdcage print) 2. patterned paper 3. washi tape 4. grid patterned paper but I covered up with  diagonal striped border with the coral dot pattern paper 5. a border strip cut from the grid paper 6. part of a measuring tape.  The Peek-a-Boo word "Friends" was cut to span both batsh and the simple flowers were formed with circles of tulle & the other with a strip of scrap fabric.

I used (4) 3" x 4" photos, but the layout will also accomodate (2) 4" x 6" pictures as well.  I hope that this inpsired you to pay tribute to some of the important people in your life.  Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Happy Crafting,
