MME ‘Follow Your Heart’ O’fish’ally Card & Free Cut Files :)

All in the celebration of the ‘Love’ month, I O’fish’ally wound up with this cute and simple card!
I used My Mind’s Eye ‘Follow Your Heart’ Collection papers for the card base and heart mat and the print and cut graphics.

FishCard1

I used Memento ‘London Fog’ ink to ink-up the edges of my free card base and mat.

Three yummy Twines come with the My Mind’s Eye ‘Follow Your Heart’ Collection-I used the blue and white for the hearts as well as the Jewels the collection comes with, too.

FishCard2

My Silhouette Cameo Print and Cut the Fish, hearts and Sentiment and adhered with Zots for dimension.

I used a tossed-heart embossing folder and my Big Shot to create the card mat. Miss Kate’s Cuttables for this cute Fish Kit.

Just swim on over to Fotobella.com to pick up your MME ‘Follow Your Heart’ Collection to make your next card!

Hugs and Blessings,

Lost and Found Flower Tutorial

Hello everyone! Jeri here, and I wanted to show you how to create a fun flower from scrapbook paper that you can use on any project.

If you have flower punches, you can use those. I found this template online and just printed it out. I liked it because it had 5 different sizes that work well with making a flower

Cut out the flower template and trace onto Breeze “Fun Day” Today Paper Sheet.

Cut your flowers out

In a small dish combine some coffee grinds and water. Or you can brew yourself a hot cup, and just use a little of that!

Using your sponge brush, dab coffee on each flower. Let the paper soak a little. Do not put too much, the paper will become too flimsy. Just enough to stain it and make the paper soft.

Crumple each of the flowers and let them sit for a few minutes.

After a few minutes the wrinkles should remain on each flower. Uncrumple them slightly.

With the brad of your choice, grab the smallest flower and push the brad through the center. Continue to do this with the rest of the flowers, going up in size. Open the brad back, to hold the flower in place.

Set the flower aside to dry. Once dry, the paper will stiffen and keep its shape. And there you have an adorable Coffee Stained Flower. You can use this on your layout, a card or even a gift tag!

Spooky Card w/ My MInd's Eye Lost & Found Halloween

Beware! This blog contains a SPOOOOKY Halloween Card!

I love the skull and crossbones paper in this collection and thought it would make a great theme for a Halloween card.  The matching skull and crossbones sticker was the perfect centerpiece.  I wanted to keep the color tones the same to capture that SPOOOOKY feeling of Halloween.

I chose a dark brown sheer ribbon to tie around the card and embellished the bow with a brad.

Spooky. Scary.

I also made a Journal tag with the collection.  Quick and easy and it will be a great addition to a layout. It's fun to embellish layouts with tags.  With the I Want It All bundle, there are plenty of supplies to make ton's of tags like this one and lots of layouts.  It's a fabulous buy, definitely don't miss this one!

Have a spooky (but not so scary) day!

My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Halloween Layout

For Fotobella's Design Team project this month I got to work with My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Halloween Collection-I Want It All Bundle.  This is a fabulous collection.  Great Halloween designs and fun embellishments.  I really had a lot of fun with the embellishments in this collection.

For the title of the page I used the Happy Halloween Chipboard Sticker and the pennants from the Cutouts sheet.

When placing my embellishments on the page, I like to layer them and add dimension with pop dots, ink and a few pieces of ribbon from my My Mind's Eye ribbon stash.

My Mind's Eye does not disappoint with this collection (do they ever?!?)  No way!  This collection is a really great deal at Fotobella.com.  Go check it out and don't hesitate to get the I Want It All Bundle so that you have plenty of product to play with!  It's well worth it!

Have a fabulous day!

WRMK ‘Crazy for You’ Happy Valentine’s Cards!

Oh it’s that time of year again and Love is in the air! ♥

This year on Valentine’s Day my husband and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary and he loves purple so of course can you guess which card is his?

Yep! The ‘purple’ heart with the white pen scrolling on it is it!
TrueLoveValentineAnniversary2013

To create the scroll flourish I used my very loved Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette Sketch Pens [White] after Tracing a heart flourish into the Silhouette software. Then, I created that sweet pop-out heart in the Silhouette Software [comes Free with the Silhouette cutting machine] using Trace and Inter Offset settings. I then adhered the cut out heart with a Zot so it popped up!

TrueLoveValentineAnniversaryTagPocket

All the 12×12 double-sided papers [by the way you get Two of each], embossed stickers, chipboard tags and words, stamps, flower brads, metal flowers, badges and bottle caps which I used from We R Memory Keepers ‘Crazy for You’ Bundle! Everything showed here and then some comes included in this bundle.

I created a heart pocket and stuffed one of the tags inside with message on the back of the tag [clever, eh]?

Cupid and hearts are one of three stamp sets included. Later on, you will see that I scanned the Key and cut them out in my Make-the-Cut software.

The other’s are for my five kids, any guesses who get which one? lol

5Valentinesfor5Kids

All the cards are layered with Chipboard Tags, Papers, Bottle Caps, Badges, Metal Flowers and Embossed Stickers!

I also used black craft wire for accent, as well as twine and there are those Keys I told you about!
Coolness or what!?

Now head on over to FotoBella's Shop and Get Your 'Crazy for You' Bundle!

Hugs and Blessings,

My Mind's Eye "Be Happy" Tag

 Hello Again....

Sarinda here with a tag that I had so much fun doing.

Tip:

Don't be afraid to tear your paper....
I think the torn edges makes this whole tag pop.
It has a shabby feel yet still refined.

Also- I wanted to share a photo I was able to get with Mr. Tim Holtz at CHA after his amazing class.
Thanks FotoBella.com for this amazing opportunity to go to CHA.

Take Care-
Sarinda
